Strike First, Strike Hard, No Mercy! Well, that's pretty much what I'm doing with this article right now, because season 5 of Cobra Kai just released on Netflix, and I am already writing about season 6.

Season 5 saw Johnny Lawrence, our favorite asshat with a kinda kind heart, and Daniel LaRusso, who can be somewhat of an asshat, but also has a kind heart, face off against Terry Silver, an actual d*ck head.

I won't spoil anything, what I just told you was already established in the end of season 4.

Anyway, this conflict is the main plot of this season of Cobra Kai, and although it starts pretty slow, the show then picks up the pace. Once the crane-kicking karate action gets going, it is the same dumb fun, we know from earlier seasons.

So will the fun continue in future seasons?

Cobra Kai Season 6: Release Date

Even though I am afraid we don't have a release date yet, I mean, sadly, we don't even have a confirmation for season 6, the Showrunners Josh Heald, Jon Hurwitz, and Hayden Schlossbergare are pretty optimistic about being able to continue the franchise.

I guess not every show can get the Arcane treatment, with a confirmed season 3, before the second one even released:

And they can be, because the show is pretty popular among viewers. Probably middle-aged men, that watched the original movies when they were teens, and are now doing crane-kicks in their living rooms, while watching the show. The show has been a wild success, since coming over from YouTube, so I can't imagine Netflix not continuing it. Did anybody else forget, it was originally a YouTube series? No, just me? Okay.

If you're talking about success shows on Netflix, you can't skip Stranger Things, even though it doesn't always make sense:

Cobra Kai Season 6: Cast

For the cast, it is pretty obvious, that Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) and Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) will be making their return. I mean, they are the essence of this show, so obviously they are needed for the next season.

I also think, that most of the cast will be back, like Miguel (Xolo Mariduena), Robby (Tanner Buchanan), Samantha (May Mouser), Tory (Peyton List) and Eli (Jakob Bertrand).

Talking about a reunion:

The characters, I think will not be making their return, are mostly Terry Silver (Thomas Griffith), because his storyline is pretty much concluded, and Chozen (Yuji Okumoto).

Little Spoiler Warning here:

Here a little something, for all you fantasy fighting fans:

I'm pretty sure to no surprise, at least for everyone that has seen season 5, we will be expecting back John Kreese (Martin Kove). It looks like he will be the big bad once again, as he made his Hannibal Lecter style escape from prison. This is where speculations regarding the plot start.

Talking about great escapes:

Cobra Kai Season 6: Plot

So Kreese made his escape from prison, which was btw. pretty badass, and will probably be back in season 6 to establish Cobra Kai once again. That will probably be the main plot. He might manipulate Johnny again, maybe by using his kid as a leverage to worsen the relationship between Robby and Johnny once again. But there will be some Kreese shenanigans going on, for sure.

We have a lot of those season articles:

Then we also have Kenny. He is still kind of a loose canon, as he was turned into a baddie by the Cobra Kai advisement. Robby had him under his wing, so we might see Robby trying to persuade Kenny, which in the Karate Kid universe, means fighting him.

Kenny and Kreese will probably join hands against the "evil" Miyagi Do and Eagle Fang Karate. Maybe we will see some more characters from the movies make their return, who knows. All I know, is that it's gonna be glorious!
