The mini-series featuring the character of Obi-Wan Kenobi launched in May 2022 on Disney+ and many fans are now wondering if a sequel is planned.
Fans of the Star Wars franchise have been eagerly awaiting news of what's next for Obi-Wan Kenobi.
The show aired last year, and many expected it to return at some point. However, at Star Wars Celebration in April 2023, no announcement was made regarding a second season. But that doesn't mean that the Jedi Master won't be back.
Will There Be A Season 2 For Obi-Wan Kenobi?
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, president of Lucasfilm Kathleen Kennedy said that there are no plans about another season of Obi-Wan Kenobi, but that there could be other ways to bring the character and story back.
Kennedy stated that she always hesitates to say "No, we won't do anything more with Obi-Wan Kenobi." There's a possibility that his character could be incorporated into other stories or even a movie.
Despite the possibility, there's currently no fit for Kenobi in the future storytelling that's in place. He's not present in the timeline of any of the three future movies, nor is he around for The Mandalorian, The Acolyte, Ahsoka, or Skeleton Crew. The only potential place he could show up is during Andor, but that's unlikely for many reasons.

While Kennedy floats the hypothetical of Kenobi showing up again, it seems highly unlikely right now. The best-case scenario is a second season of his show, which was based on an idea that was originally going to be three movies. There's more material to mine from his story, but it's not happening - at least not yet.
