With Fortnite Chapter 3, Season 4, Epic Games is bringing some changes to the competitive system. Here's everything you can expect with the new patch.
Fortnite's competitive game modes allow players to test their skills and prove who's the best in battle royale. Epic Games is known for hosting cash cups and other competitions to further promote the game's competitive community. And there is always a lot of cash involved. But just because things are going well doesn't mean Epic Games is resting on its laurels.
Fortnite Season 4 introduces Divisional Cups
Season 4 introduces a new duo competition mode called Divisional Cups. On September 24th, you can compete in the Placement Cup to qualify in your region for one of Fortnite's three new competitive divisions:
If you rank in the top 200 duos in the Placement Cup, you will be placed in the Elite division where you will have a chance to qualify for the Elite Cup Weekly Finals and win cash prizes. In order to participate in the Placement Cup, you must reach the Contender League in the Battle Royale Arena before the Placement Cup begins. You will then compete in two rounds in the battle royale arena in duo format, with only the top 1,400 duos qualifying for round 2. The top 200 duos from Round 2 will be placed in the Elite division, the next 1,000 duos will be placed in the Challenger division.
Every week on Wednesday and Friday Divisional Cups will take place in all regions. Players in the Elite Division must compete in Day 2 of the Elite Cups to be eligible to compete in the Elite Cup Weekly Finals on Saturday nights.
Arena Hype Will Be Reset
Due to the format change, the timing of the Arena Hype reset will also change. At the start of Season 4, all players start with 0 Hype. You do not need to reach the Champion League this season to participate in tournaments with cash prizes.
Improvements of Late Game Arena
Most of you may have noticed that the popular Late Game Arena mode has returned. Unfortunately, there were a lot of bugs in the mode and the players were pretty annoyed. However, Epic promises to work on the issues and bring back Late Game Arena, Quick Cups and Cash Cups throughout Chapter 3, Season 4.
FNCS Invitational 2022
Somewhat disappointing news: There will be no online FNCS in Chapter 3, Season 4. However, the FNCS Invitational will take place on November 12th and 13th in Raleigh, North Carolina, USA, for which you can already get your tickets!
Und das waren auch schon die wichtigsten Wettkampf-Änderungen. Viel Erfolg, ihr Fortniter. Wir sehen uns in Chapter 3, Season 4.
