Every week, Epic Games is offering one or more games at no cost to the community. The selection often contains indie games, but this week is particularly thrilling as Epic is generously offering a major AAA game. Here's everything you need to know.
Typically, there are two ways of getting access to a AAA game: Either you just purchase it directly for a (usually) high price, or you subscribe to a video game subscription service like the Xbox Game Pass. What both ways have in common is that you won't be able to avoid paying for playing.
Luckily, Epic Games offers us a third option that doesn't cost you a single cent. In fact, Epic makes certain games or DLCs available for free for a limited time every week – and sometimes there are really great titles on the line-up. So, let's take a look at what you can grab for free right now and what games we're gonna get next time!
Amazon Prime: Pick Up These Games For Free Now!
This week, Epic is giving away a very exciting game, which will be available on the Epic Games Store until June 1, 2023. It will then be replaced by at least one other title becoming available for free, which we also introduce to you here.

Epic Games Store Free Game Of The Week: Fallout New Vegas - Ultimate Edition (May 25 - June 1)
Epic teased us once again with a mystery game, suggesting we're getting something exciting. And they delivered: this week, you're getting Fallout New Vegas!
One of the best RPGs of all time is now available for free, and in the Ultimate Edition even. This edition includes all DLC add-ons for the game, which add a ton of great content to an already huge game.
FNV is a pretty old game at this point, so most people probably already own it. But if you don't, do yourself a favor and get this now. It's a brilliant game and the best version of the RPG formula popularized by Bethesda's Fallout 3.
Feel the Heat in New Vegas! Not even nuclear fallout could slow the hustle of Sin City. Explore the vast expanses of the desert wastelands and see the Great Southwest as could only be imagined in Fallout.

Epic's Free Game For Next Week (June 1 - June 8)
From June 1 onwards, Epic will give us another free game, but they are keeping the selection a secret again. All they've said is that it will be a "Mystery Game", and they've used the picture which you can see at the top of the article.
How To Get Games For Free On Epic Games Store
Free games are usually available in the Epic Games Store for seven days – so if you wanna get them, you better be fast. To get the current game for free, simply do the following:
- Login or create an Epic Games Store account (the same one you use for Fortnite)
- Use the website or the Epic Games Launcher
- Search for the game's title to find it – the price shown should be 0 dollars
- Hit "Get"
- It will now be available to download and play from the Epic Games Launcher
- Enjoy!

Epic usually unveils a new freebie lineup every Thursday, starting at 4:00 pm BST / 5:00 pm CEST / 8:00 am PST / 11:00 am EST. They are usually free of charge for seven days. The games from the previous week won't be free anymore then.
