We've heard a ton of rumors regarding the Nintendo Switch 2, but thankfully, we now have some news directly from Nintendo. Don't get too excited, the Switch 2 isn't coming out later this week, but it might be coming pretty soon.

Who cares about the Switch 2 when we're so close to Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom being released? Well, maybe that's a stupid question from an overhyped Zelda fan. Everyone cares about the Switch 2, even if we're still getting dope games for the OG.
Up until now, everything you've seen or read about new Nintendo hardware has been based on leaks and rumors. Now we have something official for you, direct from Nintendo.
- News of a Switch 2 might put you off wanting to spend more money on the current-gen, but we can't speak highly enough of this carry case (our personal favorite for the Switch).
Nintendo Give Switch 2 Release Window
Nintendo has now officially confirmed that the Switch 2 will be released at some point after April 2024. They have made it absolutely clear that from now until April 2024, no new hardware will be released.
As first reported by Bloomberg, Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa gave the news to investors in an earnings call held on May 9, 2023. So, another year of waiting. At least we have incredible games to play on the Switch until then.
