PS5 Update 7.20: File Size And Changes
PS5 Update 7.20 is around 1.5 GB big, so it has a similar size like the previous minor up dates. As usual for minor updates, the installation should result in an improved system stability and bug fixing. Here's the changelog from Sony:
PS5 Version 23.01-07.20.00:
- We've improved system software performance and stability
- We've improved the messages and usability on some screens
- We've updated the DualSense Edge Wireless Controller device software to improve stability.
PlayStation 5: How To Install The Update
As soon as you start your PS5, the new update should show up in the downloads section. Once it's downloaded, all you have to do is click on the notification and restart the system. If the update doesn't show up in downloads, you need to go into the settings. There you'll find the item System Software by System. Go to System Software Update and Settings and click on Update System Software. The PlayStation will then search for the latest update and add it to downloads.
