Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is releasing soon worldwide, but will PlayStation 4 players get to be a part of it?

The next chapter in the Star Wars saga is Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, which is releasing on April 28. The sequel to Fallen Order picks up right where the series left off and follows Kal on a new adventure across the galaxy. Players will have a semi-open world to explore, new characters to meet, and a fresh story to embark on.
However, before April 28 rolls around, there are some players that wish to know if they will even be able to play the game for themselves. Specifically, PlayStation 4 users want to know if the game will be arriving for them at all. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order was released for a variety of platforms, including the PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X|S, and Microsoft Windows for PC. Will Survivor follow that same list of platforms for its launch, or are the developers changing things up? Check out the guide below for all of those answers.
Will Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Be On Game Pass or EA Play?
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor – PS4 Players Need To Look For Alternatives

While Fallen Order could be bought and played on the PS4, unfortunately the same cannot be said for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. All last-generation consoles will be disappointed to hear that Survivor is only releasing on the current-generation platforms, including the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
Star Wars Jedi Survivor Playtime - How Long It Takes To Beat The Game
This is devastating news to any Star Wars fan who has yet to acquire a PS5 and is still using a PS4. However, this is ultimately for the best in regard to the franchise, as the developers can take advantage of new technology for Survivor. Not having to ensure the game runs on older hardware, as the PS4 contains, means users will have a much more modern experience. This also opens Survivor up to be able to expand the map, have better graphics, and maintain a high frame rate.
PS4 fans will either have to watch from the sidelines or acquire a PS5 sometime before or after April 28 when Star Wars Jedi: Survivor launches.
