The oa

The OA

“OA” is about a young woman who returns seven years after vanishing from her home with mysterious new abilities and recruits five strangers for a secret mission.

The show was captivating, beautiful and emotional, but sadly it abruptly got cancelled after 2 seasons because of bad timing essentially. At the time, Netflix shifted to a different business model that didn't allow for The OA. | © Netflix

Everything Sucks!

"Everything Sucks!" took us on a nostalgic trip to the '90s with a dramatic and entertaining story about being a high school student, but Netflix pulled the plug after just one season. So now we’re left forever wondering what might have happened after season 1. | © Netflix

Sense8

Sense8

In “Sense8”, eight strangers from different parts of the world suddenly become mentally and emotionally linked. They can communicate, share their knowledge and skills, and experience each other's lives despite being physically distant.

Although the show got 2 seasons and even a movie, Netflix cancelled it because it became too expensive to produce. | © Netflix

1899

1899

"1899" is a mystery thriller TV series created by Jantje Friese and Baran bo Odar, who also worked on the popular thriller series, "Dark." Set in the late 19th century, it follows a group of European immigrants traveling to America who encounter mysterious and unsettling events aboard their ship.

The feel of 1899 is quite similar to Dark and although reviews were generally good, the show didn't manage to live up to its predecessor and got cancelled after its first season.

Tuka and bertie

Tuka & Bertie

“Tuca & Bertie” was a funny animated series created by Lisa Hanawalt. It followed the hilarious and heartfelt adventures of two bird-women friends, Tuca and Bertie. Despite its unique animation style and critical acclaim, Netflix cancelled the show after its first season. However, the series found a new home on Adult Swim, continuing for additional seasons before ultimately ending in 2022. | © Netflix

Daredevil

Daredevil

“Daredevil” had gritty storytelling and intense action, following the blind Matt Murdock as he fought crime as a lawyer by day and as the Daredevil by night. Despite its popularity, Netflix cancelled the series after three seasons, leaving fans devastated. In 2021, he made an appearance in Spider-Man's No Way Home. | © Netflix

Archive81

Archive 81

“Archive81” is a must for any thriller-fan. Inspired by the found footage horror podcast, the show had a promising start on Netflix. And although the ending felt quite final, it did set up some potential storylines for a second season. Sadly, that would never happen. | © Netflix
