15 Binge-Worthy Amazon Prime Shows You Haven't Discovered Yet

1-15

Dead Ringers 2023

15. Dead Ringers (2023)

Rachel Weisz arguing with Rachel Weisz is an excellent reason to surrender an evening, although dinner might need to wait. In Alice Birch’s reworking of David Cronenberg’s Dead Ringers, twin obstetricians Beverly and Elliot Mantle pursue a radical vision of childbirth while their private relationship becomes increasingly poisonous. The graphic medical scenes earn their discomfort, exposing the distance between promising better care and treating patients as experimental material. Weisz makes that ethical collapse horribly intimate. | © Annapurna Television

Vanity Fair

14. Vanity Fair (2018)

Becky Sharp would have been terrifying on LinkedIn. Played with a beautifully calculating smile by Olivia Cooke, Thackeray’s social climber works her way through English high society using charm, opportunism, and other people’s terrible judgment. This seven-part adaptation keeps the expensive frocks but brings out the nastiness underneath them. Watch how quickly supposedly respectable people abandon their principles when money enters the conversation; Becky simply has the courtesy to be obvious about it. | © Mammoth Screen

The Better Sister

13. The Better Sister (2025)

Jessica Biel and Elizabeth Banks play estranged sisters whose reunion has the worst possible icebreaker: a murder investigation. Biel’s Chloe has the impressive career and polished household; Banks’s Nicky has a history that makes people reach for easy conclusions. Once Chloe’s husband turns up dead, those tidy distinctions become considerably less useful. The pleasure of this glossy thriller is watching family resentment interfere with the detective work, as every revelation gives an old grievance fresh ammunition. | © Tomorrow Studios

One Mississippi

12. One Mississippi (2015-2017)

Grief comes with casseroles, uncomfortable silences, and relatives whose coping mechanisms make yours look positively sensible. Tig Notaro and Diablo Cody draw on Notaro’s experiences for this comedy about a woman returning to Mississippi after her mother’s death while recovering from serious illness herself. The humor develops through hesitant conversations and the peculiar routines of her emotionally guarded stepfather. Nobody delivers a speech that magically fixes the family, which makes their small breakthroughs count. | © Amazon Studios

Overcompensating

11. Overcompensating (2025)

College offers Benny a fresh start, which he immediately complicates by continuing to pretend he’s straight. Creator and star Benito Skinner builds Overcompensating around that exhausting performance, pairing the former football player with Carmen, another freshman desperate to get belonging right. Their friendship gives the party disasters and social humiliations something tender to bruise. Underneath the campus comedy sits an especially recognizable fear: that the friends you’ve finally made might prefer the person you invented. | © A24

Zero Zero Zero

10. ZeroZeroZero (2020)

Follow the shipment. That simple instruction carries ZeroZeroZero through a cocaine deal connecting Mexican suppliers, Italian organized crime, and the American brokers handling the transaction. Andrea Riseborough, Dane DeHaan, and Gabriel Byrne anchor the shipping-family strand, where respectable business practices provide excellent camouflage for appalling decisions. Across eight episodes, delays and changes of plan become terrifyingly consequential. You may never have expected freight logistics to produce this much anxiety, but here comes another problem with the delivery. | © Cattleya

The Power

9. The Power (2023)

What happens to everyday intimidation when teenage girls can deliver an electric shock with their fingertips? Adapted from Naomi Alderman’s novel, The Power follows that disruption through households, political institutions, and religious communities as the ability spreads to older women. Toni Collette and Auliʻi Cravalho help ground the sprawling premise in a mother-daughter relationship. Its strongest observations concern the first adjustments: who suddenly feels safe walking alone, and who treats that newfound confidence as a threat. | © SISTER

Tales from the Loop

8. Tales from the Loop (2020)

Rusting machinery looks oddly at home in the landscapes of Tales from the Loop, inspired by Simon Stålenhag’s artwork. Around an underground research facility, ordinary residents encounter extraordinary disruptions to time, identity, and the people they love. The interconnected episodes favor emotional consequences over technical explanations, allowing a strange discovery to become someone’s very personal heartbreak. Give this one room to breathe; solving the machinery is considerably less interesting than watching people try to live beside it. | © Fox 21 Television Studios

Deadloch

7. Deadloch (2023)

A corpse on a Tasmanian beach interrupts a town already busy nursing grudges. Local officer Dulcie Collins and visiting detective Eddie Redcliffe approach the investigation with spectacularly incompatible temperaments, giving Kate Box and Madeleine Sami plenty to collide over. Created by Kate McCartney and Kate McLennan, Deadloch lets its residents be vulgar, petty, and suspicious without making the mystery disposable. Pay attention between laughs: the community’s arguments reveal considerably more than anyone intends to tell the police. | © Guesswork Television

The Devils Hour 2022 1

6. The Devil’s Hour (2022)

Lucy Chambers wakes at 3:33 every morning, and unfortunately, cutting back on coffee won’t solve this one. Jessica Raine plays a mother whose disturbing experiences become entangled with a murder investigation, while Peter Capaldi makes an unnervingly composed suspect. Created by Tom Moran, The Devil’s Hour rewards attention to details that initially seem incidental. Its first-season revelations do something especially satisfying: give the earlier episodes new meaning without making Lucy’s very human distress feel like a distraction. | © Hartswood Films

House of David

5. House of David (2025)

Knowing who eventually becomes king doesn’t remove the danger of standing beside the current one. House of David casts Michael Iskander as the young shepherd moving toward a destiny that threatens Saul, played by Ali Suliman. The biblical drama builds its appeal around that uneven transfer of power, giving court loyalties and royal insecurity space alongside the battles. Its religious convictions are explicit, while the anxiety of being replaced supplies a thoroughly human source of tension. | © Amazon MGM Studios

The English 2022

4. The English (2022)

Emily Blunt arrives in the American West seeking revenge, dressed for a world considerably more civilized than the one awaiting her. Her unlikely alliance with Chaske Spencer’s Eli Whipp, a Pawnee former cavalry scout, anchors Hugo Blick’s The English. The landscapes are magnificent; the people occupying them frequently deserve no such compliment. Beneath the violence, their growing trust gives this six-part Western its emotional force, with Spencer’s restrained performance proving just as compelling as Blunt’s furious determination. | © Drama Republic

Homecoming

3. Homecoming (2018-2020)

The reassuring language at the Homecoming facility should probably make you nervous. Julia Roberts plays Heidi Bergman, a caseworker helping military veterans return to civilian life, before questions about her former employment expose troubling gaps in her recollection. Sam Esmail directs the first season with an attention to framing that makes offices and corridors feel quietly hostile. Its compact episodes ration information beautifully, turning apparently routine conversations into scenes you’ll want to reconsider once another detail falls into place. | © Amazon Studios

Patriot

2. Patriot (2015-2018)

John Tavner has a questionable approach to operational security: putting his experiences into folk songs. Michael Dorman plays the intelligence officer in Steven Conrad’s Patriot, where an assignment involving Iran requires maintaining cover at an industrial piping company. Workplace obligations prove almost as punishing as the actual espionage. The elaborate technical chatter is funny; watching an exhausted man struggle to satisfy every impossible demand is quietly devastating. Dorman somehow makes both reactions happen without changing his expression. | © Amazon Studios

Undone 2019

1. Undone (2019)

An argument can become a different memory halfway through a scene in Undone, whose animation makes unstable reality feel disconcertingly ordinary. Rosa Salazar plays Alma, a woman investigating her father’s death after a car crash changes her experience of time. Rotoscoping preserves the actors’ tiny expressions while allowing their surroundings to dissolve, so the visual experimentation never swallows the family drama. Bob Odenkirk plays her father, and their exchanges make revisiting the past look both irresistible and deeply unwise. | © The Tornante Company
