Influencer Klaudiaglam was run over by a rival influencer after a fight in front of a London nightclub.
Influencers not liking each other is nothing new. And although a fight between rival influencers can sometimes be spectacular, this influencer feud turned almost deadly by ending in life threatening injuries. The victim of this tragic incident is now in critical condition while her rival was arrested.
Nightclub Brawl Turned Attempted Murder
In the early morning of April 19 at 4:30am, emergency services were called to the Inca nightclub in Soho, Central London in response to reports “that a car had been involved in a collision with pedestrians”. Three people were hit. A man in his 50s sustained life-changing injuries, a women in her 30s had minor injuries and Klaudia Zakrzewska, known online as 270,000 follower strong influencer Klaudiaglam, was hit.
Videos of the incident went viral with Klaudia and another woman fighting in front of the club when the woman gets in her car steers into Zakrzewska with bystanders shouting, “She is going to run her over". The black vehicle drives into a group of people and Klaudia can be seen being knocked to the ground and becoming trapped underneath the car between the vehicle and a metal bike rack as bystanders rush to help. The influencer was rushed to hospital where she remains in critical condition.
Police have urged to not share the graphic videos of the vehicle incident out of respect for the victims, and so as not to prejudice criminal proceedings. Detective Chief Inspector Alison Foxwell of the Met Police is searching for witnesses:
While this incident took place in the early hours of the morning, venues in the area were still open, and we believe a number of people will have seen what happened.
The Rival
The woman in the vehicle was confirmed to be 29-year-old fellow influencer RielleUK, real name Gabrielle Precious Carrington, also known from her appearance as a finalist on XFactor in 2013.
She was arrested that night on suspicion of attempted murder, grievous bodily harm, dangerous driving and drink-driving and appeared in court on April 21. She did not enter into any pleas and remained in custody. Her next hearing will be on May 19.
Reportedly, the two women have known each other for a while and had an "ongoing dispute" between them.
Is Klaudia Dead?
After the incident, reports online turned confusing. Klaudia's friends started posting remembrance and tribute posts to her implying she had died writing things like:
I’m the one left with the memory of watching my best friend, someone I love, get killed right in front of me.
However, official reports had not yet confirmed her death and stated that the influencer remained in “life-threatening condition” at the hospital.
The doctors had warned about Klaudia's condition claiming she might not make it, which is why her mother created a GoFundMe to cover hospital expenses, legal fees and support for the family.
As many of you may already know, my daughter is currently in a coma and desperately fighting for her life. This is the most devastating time our family has ever faced. Those who know me understand how much I love my daughter and what a special bond we have, and I cannot give up on my baby girl. Klaudia is in critical condition, and due to the severity of her injuries, doctors do not believe she will survive. But I truly believe her fight is not over! Klaudia is strong, and I know she still has a chance.
The campaign is set for £50k and has currently raised £26k.
While she expresses her hopes for Klaudia's recovery, the worried mother also prepared for the worst:
If at any time things take a turn for the worst, additional funds will go towards funeral costs and continuous support for the family.
Unfortunately, this tragic thought has become a grim reality as the 32-year-old influencer has died on April 25, as confirmed by Sky News. Accordingly, the attempted murder charge against Gabrielle Carrington will be amended to murder.
