N3on has turned to AI to keep his streams alive.
Kick streamer N3on has defended his decision to use an AI version of himself to keep his channel running while he sleeps. The American content creator argued that AI is the future of livestreaming.
He made the controversial move on September 7, when he dramatically declared, "This is my last stream as a human being", before describing himself as the "first AI streamer in the world." His experiment quickly attracted attention online, with tens of thousands of viewers tuning in at various points of his stream.

The project uses AI technology from Higgsfield and GPT-6 Astra to create a digital version of the streamer.
N3on Defends The Experiment
Naturally, his announcement was met with plenty of skepticism from his viewers. Some accused N3on of selling out, promoting low-effort content, misleading viewers, and simply being a bad streamer.
The criticism largely centered around the idea that viewers were tuning into a livestream expecting to see N3on, only to discover that they were watching an AI-generated version of him "streaming" in an artificial world.

N3on has since pushed back against those criticisms. While discussing the experiment on Kick, he argued that there was value in giving viewers something to watch even when he wasn't physically in front of the camera.
He later told his followers that his stream would continue indefinitely with the help of AI:
I got presented this opportunity. Let's try it out. It doesn't hurt. I'm still streaming every day. I'm still doing whatever I do. I'm still myself — still live every day.
He also described the concept as innovative and suggested that somebody else would eventually use AI to stream if he didn't.
N3on Isn't The First AI Streamer
N3on's claim that he is the "first AI streamer in the world" has also drawn criticism. However, that's not true.
AI-powered creators have existed for several years now, with AI VTuber Neuro-sama being a prominent example after debuting on Twitch in 2022. YouTuber Kwebbelkop has also experimented with an AI version of himself in his content in 2023.
Neuro-sama, in particular, has demonstrated what's possible with an AI personality. She has been able to interact with viewers, play games, and participate in livestreams.
It's unclear whether N3on will have the same hands-on approach with his AI stream. It appears, for now, that he is using AI to generate entire streams, with little to no effort or input on his part.
