This Buffalo was supposed to be sacrificed during Eid al-Adha but got spared due to his resemblance to particular president.
A lot of lifestock gets sacrificed each year in Bangladesh. But this lucky cattle was rescued just in time all thanks to its particualr style reminding people of someone special.
Donald Trump The Buffalo Gets Spared
The animal in question is an approximately three year old albino water buffalo. Instead of the usual brown/black coloring, this one has a pinkish hue with luscious blonde locks.
The buffalo was raised at the Rabeya Agro Farm in Narayanganj city, Bangladesh and was purchased from the Rajshahi City Cattle Market one month after the Eid al-Adha festival in 2025.
During the Eid al-Adha festival, Muslims around the world celebrate their faith, their spirit of sacrifice, and the story of the Prophet Ibrahim, who was willing to sacrifice his son out of obedience to God. Every year, millions of livestock are traditionally slaughtered and shared among families and communities.
This year, 2026, the handsome pink buffalo was supposed to be one of the unlucky candidates for the sacrifice celebration but his looks actually saved him.
His owner, seeing the striking resemblance, named the buffalo after the 45th (and 47th) president of the United States. Soon its look and name drew crowds of local visitors, tourists and even international media. Many visitors described the animal (unlike the person) as having a "royal demeanor" and calm temperament.
With all this attention on him, the Bangladeshi government couldn't let Donald Trump be salughtered, so the Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed ordered him to be spared.

According to NBC news, the buyer was refunded and Donald Trump was moved to the national zoo in Dhaka.
At the last moment, the decision was taken to spare the buffalo from sacrifice due to security concerns and the unusual level of public interest.
a ministry official said.
The animal now even has its own Wikipedia page by the title Donald Trump (buffalo).
If anyone can be happy to look like the 45th president it would be this buffalo as his striking look and clever naming saved him from meeting his maker and being eaten by his owners. This may be the first time in history that being compared to Donald Trump literally saved someone’s life. While Donald Trump (human) returned to the White House, his pink buffalo counterpart secured an arguably even sweeter deal: government protection, internet fame, a permanent home at the zoo, and zero risk of ending up as dinner. Not bad for a cow with a blond comb-over.
