A TikToker deliberately filmed a fatal car crash outside the restaurant she was having dinner at.
Influencers always look for the next thing that will make their video go viral. So when an opportunity presents itself, they often don't shy away from filming even gruesome scenes for their content – like this TikToker, who filmed a car crash outside the restaurant she and her husband were having dinner at.
"There Was A Dead Body Outside, So I Knew It Was Going To Be An Eventful One."
Sarah Stusek has 319k followers on her TikTok profile sarahshooots. She makes videos about her life and herself trying and rating food items.
Recently, she posted a video of her and her husband dining at Oak Steakhouse in Alexandria, Virginia for their anniversary – nothing special, you might think. Well, as they arrived, police was nearby investigating a fatal car accident just a few feet away and Sarah, being the influencer that she is, pulled out her phone to record the scene. The video even shows a body lying under a white sheet surrounded by police officers and yellow caution tape.
I didn’t plan on filming our anniversary dinner but when we walked up there was a dead body outside, so I knew it was going to be an eventful one.
She says while the scene is shown in the video.
The rest of the clip is mostly her talking about the food they had and the experience at the restaurant occasionally filming the police cars. She jokes about the atmosphere of their dinner with the scene outside the windows saying:
We enjoyed our romantic evening under the red and blue strobe lights.
While they were having their romantic dinner enjoying the special lighting, only a few feet away, the Alexandria Police Department pronounced a 62-year-old woman dead at the scene after being struck by a vehicle.

After recieving backlash for her tasteless video, it is no longer available on Sarah's profile. She, however, has continued posting without adressing the incident at all. The comments to her latest video have been turned off after enraged viewers kept asking about it. Other creators have stitched the video asking Sarah "what is wrong with you?" and criticizing her for her "lack of empathy". Many compare her to Logan Paul, who faced backlash for filming a dead body in Japan 2017.
This is not the first time Sarah has been at the receiving end of online critics. In 2023 she got under fire for berating and attacking reviewers of her book who didn't give a 5-star review.

These things are no accidents. Sarah decided to film only after she knew there was a car crash outside the restaurant, deliberately using the tragic incident for content because she knew the "eventful" incident would make clicks and even selfishly joking about how it affected their dinner. No thought was put into the victim or their friends and family, only into herself, her TikTok and her dinner. That's what shocks people about the video: the happy ignorance, selfishness and lack of empathy for others.
