Thank god we finally get some great TV and movie adaptions of video games! The Last of Us and Arcane were both a massive success, and the Halo series on Paramount Plus also has great production value. Halo's first season was Paramount's most-watched series after all and the cliffhanger at the end of season 1 already suggested a second season. Since season 1 already aired in March 2022, fans were eagerly waiting for every tiny bit of news on a second season.

After a few vague comments of actor Pablo Schreiber and a first short teaser in December 2023, we finally got an official trailer for Halo season 2.

Halo Season 2 Trailer

Halo season 2 will release on Paramount Plus on February 8, 2024 and contain eight episodes. Two of them will be available at launch, with a new episode releasing every Thursday through March 21. But enough talk, here's the trailer:

The YouTube description reads:

"Master Chief John-117 leads his team of elite Spartans against the alien threat known as the Covenant. As humanity’s best hope for winning the war, John-117 discovers his deep connection to a mysterious alien structure that holds the key to humankind’s salvation, or its destruction — the Halo."

If you played all Halo games and still remember some of the lore, you might already have guessed what the new season might play at... Obviously, the series doesn't stick to the games' lore 100% and does take some liberties with characters and more, but it still is based on the games after all.

In the trailer, we can hear a voice-over addressing the people of Reach and see several UNSC ships being destroyed by orbital strikes, as well as a burning city. If you still don't know what this could hint at, go and play Halo Reach !
