José Luis and José Armando Cevallos traveled to Colombia holding onto a massive personal dream: to improve their mobility and eventually learn to walk. On October 15, 2026, the Ecuadorian conjoined twin influencers passed away at age 27 after suffering back-to-back cardiac emergencies minutes apart, according to a close family friend.

Known across social media as “Siameses del Ecuador,” the brothers drew tens of thousands of loyal followers on Instagram and hundreds of thousands on TikTok. Their posts gave fans an honest, joyful look into their daily reality: navigating town, answering viewer questions, and celebrating the unbreakable bond that came with their shared life. Their management team announced their passing in an emotional message thanking fans who supported their journey.

The Medical Emergency That Claimed Both Brothers

Their close friend Fernando Carrillo explained how José Luis began feeling unwell and nauseated. Family and friends initially suspected a common stomach bug, but rushed the twins to a local hospital as symptoms worsened.

Carrillo stated that José Luis went into cardiac arrest and medical staff initially managed to stabilize him. Tragically, minutes later, José Armando suffered a heart attack, and doctors were unable to revive either brother. While Carrillo outlined the heartbreaking sequence of events, medical examiners have yet to release an official post-mortem report.

The brothers had journeyed from their home country of Ecuador to Colombia in April to undergo physical therapy and rehabilitation. They had spent months working toward an inspiring goal they frequently talked about with their community: achieving independent mobility.

Their Brother Recalls Their Final Conversation

For their brother Damián, their final conversation together centered on trying to help them secure medication. In an emotional follow-up interview with Y Ahora Sonsoles, he shared that they last spoke just a day or two before the twins passed away.

Asked how their parents were handling the loss, Damián shared that the family is completely broken:

“I have no words to describe how my parents feel.”

Damián also issued a public plea to officials for urgent help repatriating his brothers' bodies back home to Ecuador so their loved ones can hold a proper funeral and say goodbye.

Two Brothers With Big Dreams Beyond Social Media

Raised in Milagro, Ecuador, the Cevallos brothers captured hearts long before building their social media presence. An earlier appearance on Don Francisco’s variety show in Miami introduced them to an international audience as they spoke candidly about family struggles, their hopes for higher education, and their mutual love of music.

Both brothers planned to study social work at the Universidad Estatal de Milagro, driven by a deep passion for disability advocacy. José Armando had long voiced ambitions to launch a charitable foundation, while they also expressed excitement about entering the tourism sector.

When discussing university life, José Armando once proudly pointed out that each brother would receive his own distinct grades. It was a poignant reminder of their individuality: while they shared a body and a journey, each walked his own intellectual and emotional path.

In the official statement announcing their deaths, their team highlighted the joy both brothers found chasing their dreams and shared the enduring motto that guided them: “Where there’s a will, there’s a way, and disability is no impediment to being happy.”
