Anyone’s Legends' BLG curse has actually been broken.
Anyone’s Legend found the perfect moment to break their BLG curse. After losing six series against Bilibili Gaming in 2026, AL won the LPL Grand Final 3-1 of all matches. That makes Anyone’s Legend the new LPL champions and sends them to Worlds 2026 as China’s first seed.
AL Win When It Matters Most
Before the final, many signs pointed toward Bilibili Gaming. BLG had beaten AL again and again throughout the year and entered the series as the team that clearly dominated the head-to-head. But in the most important match of the year, Anyone’s Legend flipped the story completely.
That is what makes the title so strong. AL did not simply win a final against any opponent, but against the team that had stood in their way almost all year. Anyone’s Legend had previously lost six straight series against BLG before the 3-1 win in the LPL final ended the curse.
For the organization, it is the second title after Split 2 in 2025. Even more important, however, is the context. 2026 had not been smooth all the way for AL. After the departure of Wong “Tabe” Pak Kan, the team initially fell short of expectations and finished fourth in each of the first two splits. Only at the perfect time did the roster find its best form again.

Tarzan and Hope Deliver in the Biggest Moment
The final win was not a one-man show, but two players stand out in particular. Lee “Tarzan” Seung-yong delivered one of the most important series of his AL tenure in the jungle. Against Peng “Xun” Li-Xun, normally one of the most consistent junglers in the LPL, Tarzan looked clearly superior and gave AL exactly the control they needed against BLG.
Wang “Hope” Jie had his moment as well. In Game 4, he closed the series with a pentakill on Miss Fortune and a 13/0/5 performance. Games like that change how a team is perceived before Worlds. AL now arrive not just as a solid LPL representative, but as champions who were able to win several individual matchups against BLG in the final.
Chen “Breathe” Chen also deserves mention. His arrival brought new life to the team after AL had previously failed to consistently meet expectations. In a roster that had already shown potential in 2025, Breathe seems to have been exactly the missing piece.
BLG Remain Dangerous – But Lose Seed 1
For BLG, the loss is bitter, but not destructive. The team is still going to Worlds and will attend as the LPL’s second seed. Still, the final changes the setup. BLG had dominated the direct matchup against AL and won both previous splits. Now, this team of all teams loses the most important Chinese final of the year.
That matters for Worlds. Seed 1 does not automatically mean an easier run, but it changes perception and momentum. AL arrive with the feeling that they have finally beaten their biggest domestic obstacle. BLG arrive with the question of whether they have once again fallen short in the decisive series.
The LPL Fight Is Not Over Yet
While AL and BLG are already locked for Worlds, the fight for China’s remaining spots continues. The LPL decides its final seeds through Championship Points and Regional Finals. Top Esports and Invictus Gaming will play for the third Worlds spot, while Team WE and JD Gaming fight for the chance to later decide the fourth and final Chinese representative.
Importantly, unlike last year, all four LPL teams are set to start directly in the Swiss Stage. That means China will have all of its representatives in the Main Event on October 23.
For Anyone’s Legend, the title is therefore more than just a domestic triumph. AL beat BLG, secured seed one, and completely rewrote their own Worlds story. Now the team has to prove that this win was not a one-time peak. Because that will remain the big question: was this the perfect day against BLG – or the moment Anyone’s Legend finally became a real international title contender?
