Astralis were off to the wrong footing in their ESL Pro League Season 11 debut but reminded everyone of their prowess in round two of group play.

God couldn’t help GODSENT at ESL Pro League Season 11

Astralis were on a mission in their second ESL Pro League Season 11 game and turned GODSENT into the unfortunate victim of their wrath. It was all pretty clear where this game was headed once the Danes retreated with a 12-3 half-time lead on the opposition’s map pick Vertigo.

The match kept going in the same tempo and before long Astralis were victorious with a 16-5 Vertigo followed by 16-7 on Inferno. A good team effort was spearheaded by Peter “dupreeh” Rasmussen’s 43 kills. Pavle “Maden” Bošković was the sole performer on GODSENT with 34 kills. None of his teammates were able to exceed 20.

Ninjas in Pyjamas proved day one was not a fluke and recorded another clean victory, this time denying Team Spirit. The CIS squad were going toe to toe with the Ninjas on Mirage but once they lost their map in the 30th round it was all over for them as NiP dominated Vertigo 16-5.

The final game of the day was by far the most entertaining. Team Vitality and ENCE Esports exchanged blows on Mirage and Inferno before a true Dust2 showdown settled it in favor of the Frenchmen.

Having the top two fraggers on the map was not enough for ENCE who fell in the final round, taking their overall record in Group A to 0-2 – the same as GODSENT. Vitality are on the opposite side of the standings, keeping NiP company with a 100% win rate.

ESL Pro League Season 11 continues today with three more matches – the second round of Group B. Those games are:

  • North – forZe
  • Natus Vincere – BIG Clan
  • Fnatic – Complexity Gaming

Group A will be back on Friday, March 20 with round three.
