To absolutely nobody’s surprise, the Grand Finals were decided in an Omnath Adventures mirror match between two American contenders - Austin Bursavich and Aaron Gartler. They both had Lucky Clover in their decks, but ultimately it blessed Bursavich with success.

First, let’s be positive! This was an amazing tournament in terms of format and cast of players. Some of Magic’s best were competing in an interesting dual-format alternating between Historic and Standard. We saw some amazing gameplay and everyone in the Top 8 showed amazing skill and dedication.

Austin Bursavich brought the tournament’s best deck and made his way through the bracket, ultimately defeating the same build as his own in the finals, which is no small feat. A well-deserved victory and a handsome piece of cash will make sure he continues his Magic journey onwards.

Now, let’s be a Negative Nancy for a sec. Come on, man! It’s one thing to have a star card or a star deck, that’s normal for every tournament, but we saw way too much Omnath this time. Sure, the deck is great, it’s even fun, but what’s not fun is watching it played all over again and - predictably - building up to a mirror match in the finals.

We hate to play the “We Told You So” card again, but it’s Uro all over again. Omnath is a prime banning target at the moment - simply put, all signs are there. If you wanna get some games before he gets axed, here’s how to put together Bursavich’s Grand Finals deck:
