Just moments ago the first Battlefield 2042 gameplay was revealed at Microsoft's E3 2021 press conference. We have the Battlefield 2042 gameplay reveal right here for you, and a few thoughts on what it could mean for this year's Battlefield title.

EA and Xbox have become increasingly close partners since the launch of Xbox's Game Pass. The Xbox Game Pass features many of EA's biggest titles, and will reportedly also include access to Battlefield 2042 when it's released later this year. In keeping with that partnership, EA revealed the first Battlefield 2042 gameplay at the Xbox and Bethesda E3 showcase on June 13.

Battlefield 2042 Gameplay Reveal

Battlefield 2042 is now confirmed to have serious environmental destruction, crazy weather effects, beautiful graphics, and all of the aerial, on foot, and vehicle action we could have ever wanted! Okay, enough mucking around, here is the Battlefield 2042 gameplay revealed at E3:

Well in many ways this Battlefield 2042 gameplay reveal is exactly what fans have always been asking for - huge, tactical battles that focus on squad play. It looks like we are getting exactly that, and with some dope vehicles of course. Needless to say, the game's graphics look fantastic too, although we know that it's cross-gen, and the Battlefield 2042 gameplay was not taken on a PS4 or Xbox One, so how it plays on the old-gen consoles is as-of-yet unknown. This is EA, though, so we aren't expecting a Cyberpunk fiasco.

What is the Battlefield 2042 Release Date?

Battlefield 2042 will release on October 22, on all the expected platforms including last-gen consoles and Game Pass. Are you excited? We're excited! This was one freaking awesome gameplay reveal... October 22 couldn't come sooner.

By the way, if Battlefield's a big one you're looking out for this year, then you've come to the right place. We've been getting hyped for Battlefield 2042 ourselves - here are just a few of the recent details we've been learning:
