Call of Duty Weapons: FiNN LMG Setup Guide

With the Season 5 Reloaded Update a new LMG came into play - the FiNN. Can it replace the Bruen MK9? Tough to say, but we've put together a pair of setups that will help you push the Bruen's dominance to the brink of its capabilities.

The FiNN is the latest addition to the LMG class and it's incredibly fun. Its damage is not very noticeable at first as you always need three to five hits for a kill depending on where you hit the opponent. The rate of fire is also rather slow, at least with the standard barrel. That's right, FiNN has the so-called counter barrels in addition to the standard ones, which almost double the fire rate! The damage per bullet decreases a bit, but with a shooting rate of 1017 RPM, it is the second-highest firing rate in Call of Duty making it a fair sacrifice.

The recoil of the weapon is also quite easy to control, as it only pulls upwards, not sideways. Reload time and bullet speed are also very good for an LMG. So can the FiNN replace the ubiquitous Bruen MK9?

FiNN Setups

We're in a generous mood, so we're giving you not just one, but two setups today. One strictly for both competitive Modern Warfare and Warzone and the other one is aimed at simply having the most fun with the new light machine gun.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone Setup

The overall best setup for FiNN, in both Modern Warfare and Warzone, looks like this:

As usual, we are concentrating here on optimizing the range and making use of the extremely high fire rate:

  • Muzzle: Monolith silencer
  • Barrel: XRK Longshot Adverse
  • Laser: Tactical Laser
  • Underbarrel: Commando Foregrip
  • Extra: Dexterity

A silencer is mandatory as always since it increases your range. With the Tactical Laser, you further reduce the time needed for aiming and the Commando Foregrip helps you to control the recoil. The most important part of this setup is the barrel. The XRK Longshot Adverse barrel not only increases your range and bullet speed, but also your rate of fire, making the FiNN a true menace. Since the FiNN's sight is already clear, you don't necessarily need a target sight. Therefore, we recommend extra dexterity to reload faster. If you want, you can also take a larger magazine with you, but the 75 shot standard magazine is sufficient enough even for an LMG.

This setup makes the weapon very strong even at longer distances and thanks to the incredibly high rate of fire you have a chance to prevail in shorter range combat as well.

Laid Back Setup

Who doesn't wish to just walk around with a minigun in hands, shooting it out like there's no tomorrow? No? Don't lie to yourself! With the right attachments, the FiNN becomes exactly that - a bringer of death and joy.

This setup is more suited for smaller maps because you can only fire from the hip, but wherever you pull this off, we guarantee it's a hell of a lot of fun.

  • Muzzle: Compensator
  • Barrel: XRK Pro Twist Adverse
  • Laser: Tactical Laser
  • Stock: XRK Chainsaw
  • Extra: Dexterity

Since you can only fire from the hip with this setup, the attachments focus on making it as comfortable as possible. The most important things in this setup are the barrel and the stock. The barrel increases the range and gives you an enormous rate of fire. The stock turns the LMG into a bullet-throwing chainsaw. The laser and compensator help with accuracy from the hip and reducing recoil, which is very important when you can't properly aim. Finally, we again recommend the extra dexterity, but if you want, you can also go with a 100-shot magazine. We're going for an all-out war with this setup after all.

Try it out! Especially on smaller maps like Shoot House or Shipment, you can spray everything down with the chainsaw. It's effective enough at medium distances too, but anything beyond that is not well suited for this setup and it would probably be wiser to stick with our first one.

The FiNN is definitely one of the better LMGs in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone and is especially fun in Modern Warfare. It's nowhere near the Bruen MK9's pre-nerf power, but not much is.
