Eight years after its debut, one of the most popular maps in the history of Call of Duty could soon be making its comeback. Data miner came across the Map ‘Raid’ from Black Ops 2 in the game files of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is currently the hot-button topic in gaming. After all, it is the latest installment in one of the biggest franchises in gaming, and has become a fan favorite with the new map edition Nuketown ‘84. Now, it may be celebrating a classic map very soon: ‘Raid’ from Black Ops 2!

‘Raid’ in Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War?

When Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 released in 2012, ‘Raid’ became one of the most popular maps ever. But despite so many successive games coming out since, a new edition has not been released yet – with the exception of CoD Mobile (but we don’t speak of that, do we?).

But this could all change soon, Dataminer found out whilst browsing the Cold War game files. ‘Raid’ could already be making a comeback in Season 1!

At least that’s what the latest update of the shooter suggests. The game files house the line “S1_map_raid_to_cairo”, and we think it couldn’t really be clearer... could it?

An official announcement for the Black Ops Cold War map is still pending, but it looks like we’ll soon be romping around on this map again very soon!

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Season 1 will start on December 10, 2020. It will be on all platforms, and bring along some new maps additional to Nuketown. Furthermore, the Gunfight mode will return from Modern Warfare.
