In our regular setup guides, we introduce you to the best attachments for each weapon in Black Ops Cold War. Today, we'll take a look at the last machine gun in the game: The Bullfrog.

Looking for the best weapons in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War? Already found a favorite weapon, but want to know which attachments you can use to get the most out of it? Then you've come to the right place! We show you the best weapons in Black Ops Cold War in our setup guides.

We've already looked at almost all of the MPs in Black Ops Cold War – the overpowered MP5, the exotic KSP 45 and, of course, the new MAC 10. Today, we're wrapping up this category with the last regular unlockable submachine gun – the Bullfrog.

The Bullfrog is unlocked at level 43, and in a way, offers a transition between MP and assault rifle: It offers quite high damage per bullet, at a moderate fire rate, and very good range – the best in its class. Also, the Bullfrog's recoil can be controlled well, and it comes with a 50-round magazine by default. The biggest drawback is the gun's barely usable hip-fire.

Bullfrog Setup

In order to make our setup accessible to all players, regardless of the wildcard they choose, we will again limit ourselves to the most important five attachments for the weapon. Those who use gunslinger can occupy the remaining three slots according to personal preference.

With this setup, we further improve the Bullfrog's strength - it's range:

  • Muzzle: KGB Eliminator
  • Barrel: 6.7” VDV reinforced
  • Underbarrel: Speznas Grip
  • Handle: Snake Wrap
  • Stock: No Stock

As is pretty much always the case, the barrel is again the centerpiece of the setup. The 6.7” VDV barrel increases range by 18% and projectile acceleration by 80%, making the Bullfrog even more powerful, especially at longer ranges. To land accurate hits at a distance, we reduce recoil as much as possible...

The Speznas grip reduces vertical recoil by 6% and horizontal by 20%, while the KGB Eliminator muzzle reduces vertical recoil by another 17%, in addition to muzzle flash shielding. Since the Bullfrog's hip fire is terrible, we want to avoid it at all costs, so we increase the 2V velocity by 25% with the Snake wrap. Finally, we switch from sprinting to shooting 30% faster with the No Shank Attachment.

This setup makes the Bullfrog the best MP for longer distances. In our opinion, however, it is nothing half and nothing whole. At short range, most other MPs have a clear advantage, and at longer ranges, the Bullfrog is outclassed by assault rifles. If you are a big MP fan, and still want to try it out, you should absolutely avoid close combat, and try to fight at medium distances –this is where its high damage shines.
