In our regular setup guides, we introduce you to the best attachments for each weapon in Black Ops Cold War, or BOCW, as it is now known. Today, we're taking care of the iconic Rambo gun: the M60.

Looking for the best weapons in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War? You've already found a favorite weapon, but want to know which attachments you can use to get the most out of it? Then you've come to the right place! We show you the best weapons in Black Ops Cold War in our regular setup guides.

Rambo Up

Slowly but surely, we are coming to the end of our primary weapon setup guides. After the Stoner 63 and the RPD, today we present the last LMG in Black Ops Cold War, at least for the time being. Who doesn't know the M60, the iconic machine gun from the Rambo movies?

The M60 is unlocked at Level 46, and has an incredible man-stopping power that blasts through the odd wall without any problems. This power is balanced out by a low rate of fire and very slow handling. Not only do you move slower, aiming and reloading especially takes what feels like an eternity.

Fortunately, you rarely have to reload with the large magazine, but correct positioning still plays a big role with the M60. To use the full potential of the weapon, you should limit yourself to medium- to long-range fights and always look for a position with long sightlines.

M60 Setup

In order to make our setup accessible to all players, regardless of the wildcard they choose, we will once again limit ourselves to the most important five attachments for the weapon.

If you use Gunslinger, you can use the remaining three slots according to your personal preference.

Our setup improves pretty much all of the weapon's stats with minimal ammo loss:

  • Muzzle: SOCOM Eliminator
  • Barrel: 22.8”Special Command
  • Underbarrel: Field Agent Grip
  • Handle: Air-Elastic Wrap
  • Stock: Scavenger Stock

The Special Command barrel increases damage by 10% and effective range and projectile acceleration by a full 100%. It also reduces our ammunition by five rounds per magazine, but that's quite forgivable. The SOCOM Eliminator reduces vertical recoil by 17% and gives us 85% muzzle flash shielding.

The field agent grip further helps with recoil control, reducing vertical recoil by 8% and horizontal recoil by 30%. The Air Elastic Wrap increases our aiming speed by 30% and gives us 90% flinch resistance. Finally, the Raider Stock increases our change from sprinting to shooting by 30% and our running speed when aiming by 40%.

With this setup, the M60 has even more power than before and will take out everything with just a few hits, especially at longer ranges. Your enemies are hiding behind a wooden wall or something similar? No problem, the M60 goes through them like a hot knife through butter.

Although we have improved mobility, thanks to the grip and the stock, you should always be aware that the M60 is an LMG, and is not suitable for close combat.
