The Call of Duty League 2021 Stage 2 Major is over. Underdog Toronto Ultra beats league leader Atlanta FaZe. And what about OpTic Chicago? All highlights and the current standings can be found here.
The first Major with a final between Dallas Empire and Atlanta FaZe was not so surprising at first, but Stage 2 Major offered so much more. Here you can see the schedule of the tournament:
Who won the CDL 2021 Stage 2 Major?
Toronto Ultra defeated Atlanta FaZe 5-3 in the finals. Yes, that's right, Toronto Ultra, a team you always expect to be somewhere near the bottom of the standings, won the major.

As you can see from the picture above, Toronto Ultra has been on an incredible run. In their very first game, they relegated fan favorite OpTic Chicago to the lower bracket before moving there themselves, after losing to Atlanta FaZe.
This is where their winning streak really starts: 3-0 against LA Thieves, 3-1 against Minnesota ROKKR, 3-1 against Dallas Empire (the 2020 World Champions), and finally an absurd final against Atlanta FaZe, who had previously relegated them to the lower bracket.

That's right, after their 3-2 loss to the Los Angeles Guerrillas last week and a 5-3 loss to Toronto Ultra, Atlanta FaZe are no longer undefeated.
What does the table look like after Stage 2?
After the CDL 2021 Stage 2 Major, Atlanta FaZe remains at the top with 225 points, followed by Dallas Empire with 180 points and OpTic Chicago and New York Subliners with 140 each. Toronto Ultra has moved up to 5th place with 125 points. Bringing up the rear are the London Royal Ravens with just 30 points.
When does CDL 2021 Stage 3 start?
As usual, you don't have to wait too long. CDL 2021 Stage 3 will start on April 22 with the London Royal Ravens Home Series. Maybe the last-place team in the standings can finally pick up some points in their own Home Series. The Stage 3 Major is scheduled for May 10.
