To the delight of Call of Duty fans around the world - cheaters suspected of hacking in Warzone have been hardware banned and cannot get into Vanguard. Justice is being served, and the Vanguard beta weekend may well have been saved.

If you haven't been keeping your ear to the ground this week on all things Call of Duty, then you may have missed the news of Vanguard's beta. This year's Call of Duty installment can be played for free from Saturday, September 18, and we've got the details for you right here.

The EarlyGame CoD team has been leveling the weapons to get guides out to our readers, so we've had a lot of time on Vanguard so far, and we're loving it. But one thing we've all noticed is an absence of cheaters - but why? Where have they gone?

Cheaters Unable To Get On Vanguard Servers

When these guys were zipping around Verdansk and no-scoping people in Downtown from Super, they didn't think anything would come of it. At worst, the account would be banned, and they would buy another - such is the pain of free-to-play games. But when those same cheaters tried to get on the Vanguard beta...well...

In the words of ModernWarzone:

And we 100% agree with Doug here. Frankly, these guys can get stuffed, and I'm immensely gratified to know they won't be ruining the Vanguard beta.

You can spawn-trap in the beta but that seems to be the worst of it, we certainly haven't seen people trying any kooky bug exploits for instance.

Perhaps you've got time to enjoy a quick CoD catch up while you're here:

What Are CoD: Vanguard's Anti-Cheat Plans?

A new anti-cheat system has been in the works for over a year now, and it will be implemented into Warzone when it releases with Call of Duty: Vanguard. We're not certain if this will happen on November 5 or a month after launch during Warzone and Vanguard's integration. But we do know it's coming - phew.
