Call of Duty Modern Warfare removed two maps from the game: Drainage and Al-Raab Airbase. Why? Well, because they don't want to see us happy. Details below.

Update from April 13:

Several days after the two maps were removed without any warning, there is an official statement from developer Infinity Ward. On Twitter, they explained that Drainage and Al-Raab Airbase were removed again because they "they aren’t quite ready and need a bit more love before returning". Infinity Ward also promises an announcement soon on when the two maps will become available in Modern Warfare again.

Why Were Drainage and Al-Raab Airbase Removed From Modern Warfare?

Well... nobody knows and neither Activision nor Infinity Ward have commented on this, so we don't know if Al-Raab Airbase and Drainage will be added again. Call of Duty has had its fair share of weird bugs, glitches and removals, but this one is... super odd. Why add maps if you're gonna remove them within ten days? That's not what making yourself rare is all about...

We are as confused by this as you. Silver lining though: Killhouse is still available in Modern Warfare. Is this what it comes down to now? Was this the plan all along? Give us three, remove two so that we're happy with one? Is this some sadistic form of expectation management? We don't know. Anyway, here, catch up on all other things related to Call of Duty Modern Warfare:
