The next entry in the Call of Duty franchise will be Vanguard. According to a leak from the new title, another killstreak from MW2 could be making its way into Warzone. Here's everything we know so far.
The past year was a tremendous success for Call of Duty with Warzone, and Cold War attracting a ton of players. Warzone is perhaps the more popular of the two, and it slowly integrated Black Ops Cold War into it. Cold War was hinted at and revealed in Warzone, and we're expecting something similar to happen with the next entry in the series – Vanguard.
A MW2 Killstreak is Coming To Warzone
Since it's quite certain that Call of Duty Vanguard will be coming out in 2021, players are keeping their eyes peeled for any in-game teasers. Activision haven't shared anything regarding the new title, and it's all up to the data miners. Famous leaker Alaix COD revealed something interesting with a rather vocal tweet.

In case you're wondering what exactly is going on with the audio recording, let us clarify. It's a commander call from MW2 warning of an incoming AC-130 missile. Anyone who has played Modern Warfare 2 will remember this classic killstreak. This killstreak is known as the Gunship in Black Ops 4, Modern Warfare, and Black Ops Cold War.
Considering that a merge with Warzone was already confirmed by Rob Kostich, it's more than likely that the killstreak will transfer over to Warzone if it ever sees the light of day.

Whether the AC-130 will actually debut in Vanguard/Warzone remains to be seen. For now, it's just a leak, and you should take it with a grain of salt. Despite that, fans are already discussing the possibilities on Twitter. In the meantime, maybe we should be keeping an eye out for a potential gunship reveal in the upcoming months.
