This is the Warzone Season 5 new Gulag map. Does it seem familiar? That's because it's based on the multiplayer map Rush. It's still far worse than the OG Gulag, but at least it's a change for the new Season.
The Warzone Season 5 Roadmap was just released, and it looks like we're in for a bunch of new treats. We'll also be getting a new Gulag map, which makes for a welcome change after the most recent Gulag map (based on Hijacked).
What Is The New Gulag Map?
The new Gulag map is based on the Speedball arena in Rush, a map originally from BO2, but now remastered and available in BOCW.
Here's how the devs described the new Gulag map:
New Gulag – RushAt the start of the season, the Gulag sees an updated format as it converts into the classic Black Ops II map, Rush. Specifically comprised of the main speedball arena, Rush should feel right at home for paintball fiends who know how to dart from cover-to-cover toward their enemy.
You can play Rush right now in the normal multiplayer if you want to get a sense of the layout, though remember you're looking specifically for the Speedball room. This should provide a decent arena for the Gulag. Of course, this won't capture the atmosphere of the OG Gulag, as it's still in the BOCW style - a training area put together with plywood - but a change keeps things fresh at least.

When Is Warzone Season 5 Starting?
Season 5 will launch on Thursday, August 12 at 00:00 ET (05:00 BST, 06:00 CEST), although a pre-download will be available from Tuesday, August 10. We've come to know this as the standard release time for new Seasons, so no surprises here. That does mean you've only got a week left to finish your Battle Pass, though, so good luck!
