Are you new to Call of Duty: Warzone? Are you wondering how the weapon meta has changed after almost a year? Wonder no more. We have prepared the three best loadouts in the game as of February 2021. Here goes!

Call of Duty: Warzone is almost a year old and has already gone through quite a lot in terms of weapon meta. From the Grau 5.56, to the Bruen MK9, to the R9-0 with Dragon's Breath ammo and the short heyday of the FR 5.56, a lot of different guns claimed top spot within the game's arsenal.

The launch of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Season 1 and the accompanying integration of all BOCW weapons into Warzone, the meta was shaken up once again. Those of you who were around for the DMR14 meta know how "well liked" that was by most. Despite numerous nerfs, we can't really say that the gun is trully balanced yet.

Now that we've set the stage, let's get to the actual topic of this article: the top three Warzone loadouts!

Top 3 Call of Duty: Warzone Loadouts

Wondering what the best weapons are? A look at WZRanked, a stat tracker site for Warzone, shows us the following list of the most played primary weapons:

The more interesting highlights of this list is the presence of just two Black Ops Cold War weapons, the DMR14 no longer being in the top 10 (it's at 11th place) and the emergence of the new MAC-10 on top. Otherwise, the usual suspects, like the Grau 5.56, MP5 and Kilo 141, complete the top 10.

Before we go into any perks and setups, we'll point out what the best weapon combinations are right now.

MAC-10 & Kar98k

We mentioned the MAC-10 is the most used weapon in Warzone as of February 2021, but we didn't reveal the weapon in second place. Yep, it's the Kar98k. Yep, we just matched the two most used guns. How could we not? The MAC-10 shreds anything at close range and the Kar98k is a quick sniper that can serve you well even at medium range. A match made in heaven.

We recommend the following setup for the MAC-10:

  • Muzzle: Infantry Compensator
  • Barrel: 6.1" Reinforced Heavy
  • Body: Steady Aim Laser
  • Underbarrel: Field Agent Grip
  • Magazine: 43-round drum

We recommend the following setup for the Kar98k:

  • Muzzle: Monolithic Supressor
  • Barrel: Singuard Custom 27.6"
  • Optic: Variable Zoom Scope
  • Stock: FTAC Sport Comb
  • Extra: Dexterity

Kilo 141 & MP5

A comparatively old combination and a representative of the very popular assault rifle-SMG combo comes in second. We chose the very popular Kilo 141 as our primary weapon, as it is very easy to control and therefore the perfect entry-level weapon. Depending on your preferences, you can replace it with the M4A1, the Grau 5.56 or the CR-56 AMAX.

We recommend the following setup for the Kilo 141:

  • Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor
  • Barrel: Singuard Arms 19.8" Hetzer
  • Optic: VLK 3.0x Scope
  • Underbarrel: Commando Foregrip
  • Ammunition: 60-round magazine

We recommend the following setup for the MP5:

  • Barrel: Suppressor (Integrated, Monolithic)
  • Laser: 5mW Laser
  • Underbarrel: Mercenary Foregrip
  • Ammunition: 45-round magazine
  • Grip: Granulated Grip Tape

FFAR 1 & HDR

Assault rifle-SMG might be the popular combo, but assault rifle-sniper is the actual classic. That's what we have here. The HDR is the best pure sniper in the game. Incredible damage paired with enormous range and almost no bullet drop result in one-shot kills at almost any distance. The FFAR 1 from Black Ops Cold War is the perfect partner in crime for the HDR thanks to its wild fire rate.

We recommend the following setup for the FFAR 1:

  • Muzzle: SOCOM Eliminator
  • Barrel: 19.5" Reinforced Heavy
  • Underbarrel: Field Agent Grip
  • Magazine: Salvo 44-round Fast Mag
  • Handle: Airborne Elastic Wrap

We recommend the following setup for the HDR:

  • Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor
  • Barrel: 26.9" HDR Pro
  • Optic: VLK 3.0x Scope
  • Stock: FTAC Champion
  • Ammunition: 9-round magazine

Perks

Let's move on to the perks. A total of three perks can be equipped, which have a significant influence on your playing style. One blue, one red and one yellow slot are available.

Warzone Perks
Perks are just as important, if not more important than the weapons you choose. (Credit: Activision)

In the blue slot, we recommend Cold Blooded. This perk hides you from reconnaissance drones and thermal scopes, which makes it much easier to remain undetected.

In the red slot, Overkill is mandatory, as this perk allows you to equip two primary weapons. Since all these loadouts use two primaries, it would be weird if we recommended anything else here.

The last yellow slot is occupied by Zealous, which allows faster switching between weapons. Especially in hectic fights, this perk can make the difference when a weapon is empty, and you need to switch quickly.

Inventory

The inventory is divided into tactical and lethal equipment and includes grenades and some exciting technical gadgets.

For lethal equipment, we advise Semtex. The Semtex grenade explodes much faster than the fragmentation grenade and sticks to both surrounding objects and enemies. If you prefer to camp and secure your position, you can also use the classic claymore mine.

In the tactical slot, the heartbeat sensor is mandatory. It shows you enemies in the vicinity as a bright spot on a mini radar. With the sensor you can check at any time whether there are enemies in the immediate vicinity, which is particularly helpful when clearing buildings.

Now you're ready to go into combat. Let us know how it went for you on our Facebook and Twitter pages, or in our Discord channel.
