Warzone 2 Season 5: Reloaded Meta | Long-Range: RAPP-H (Option 1)
We've provided two options for the long-range meta this time around because although the RAPP has the best TTK in all of Warzone, a lot of folks simply won't like how slow the weapon is, so we have also provided a slightly more mobile option with the RPK. We'll start with the RAPP-H.
The RAPP combines great damage and recoil control with an absurd rate-of-fire, which gives it the best average TTK in the whole game. It's actually been in this position for a while, so why doesn't everyone use? Because it isn't very mobile and it has a horrendously long reload time. We recommend the RAPP to players who like to post up behind head-glitches and hold their L-Triggers. In that role, it's obviously the best weapon available.
Here is the best RAPP-H loadout for long range:
Slot | Attachment | Tunings |
Muzzle | Lockshot KT85 | Recoil Stabilization (+ 0.75 oz) / Recoil Control (+ 0.35 in) |
Barrel | Romeo FT 16" | Recoil Steadiness (+ 0.50 lb) / Damage Range (+ 0.40 in) |
Optic | Aim OP-V4 | Default |
Rear Grip | Lachmann TCG-10 | Recoil Stabilization (+1.00 oz) / Aiming Idle Stability (+ 0.45 in) |
Underbarrel | Edge-47 | Recoil Stabilization (+ 0.80 oz) / Aiming Idle Stability (+ 0.40 in) |
All of our attachments are geared towards enhancing recoil control, with the most efficient tradeoffs in mind. The optic is personal preference, but you could even consider a 3x for Al Mazrah.
This specific muzzle break is very effective at mitigating horizontal recoil, and we found it to be the most comfortable in testing. If you feel you're struggling too much with vertical recoil then consider swapping out this attachment for a muzzle device focused more on recoil control.

Warzone 2 Season 5: Reloaded Meta | Long-Range: RPK (Option 2)
The RPK is not as good as it was back at launch, but that's a good thing. It now feels much more in-line with the other LMGs, although the RPK will always have a place within the meta because it's just so easy to use. It has a huge drum mag that can be reloaded quickly, the recoil is perfectly manageable, and the TTK is solid at all ranges. We think the RAPP is probably the better choice if you're willing to adapt your playstyle, but if you just want a good all-rounder, you can't go wrong with the RPK.
Here is the best RPK loadout for long range:
Slot | Attachment | Tunings |
Muzzle | TY-LR8 | Recoil Stabilization (+ 0.60 oz) / Recoil Control (+ 0.25 in) |
Optic | Aim OP-V4 | Default |
Rear Grip | Demo-X2 Grip | Recoil Steadiness (+0.50 oz) / Aiming Idle Stability (+ 0.30 in) |
Ammunition | 7.62 High Velocity | Default |
Underbarrel | FTAC-Ripper | Recoil Stabilization (+ 0.60 oz) / Aiming Idle Stability (+ 0.30 in) |
The RPK has much worse recoil now than it did back in late-2022, and so we will need to use three recoil-mitigating attachments. In fact, if you are still finding it hard to hit shots then we suggest dropping the high velocity ammo for the Heavy Stock.

Warzone 2 Season 5: Reloaded | Short-Range: Lachmann Sub
Yes it has been nerfed a lot - but it still feels like the best option. The ISO, Vel and Vaznev can still compete, and if you're a sh*tter the KV Broadside is good to go, but we think the best option for most players is the Lachmann Sub. It's easy to use, it has a great TTK in close-range, solid mobility, and no obvious downsides.
Below, you can find the best Lachmann Sub loadout for Warzone 2.
Slot | Attachment | Tunings |
Barrel | FTAC M-SUB 12" | Aim Walking Speed (- 0.50 lb) / Damage Range (+ 0.40 in) |
Laser | 1MW Quick Fire | Sprint To Fire Speed (-0.50 oz) / Aim Down Sight Speed (- 51.00 ft) |
Stock | Meer Recoil | Aim Down Sight Speed (- 4.00 oz) / Aim Walking Speed (- 2.40 in) |
Rear Grip | Lachmann TCG-10 | Aim Down Sight Speed (- 1.00 oz) / Sprint To Fire Speed (-0.45 in) |
Magazine | 40 Round Mag | Default |
It's all pretty obvious stuff, we want faster handling and mobility, with a little extra damage range thrown in. You might be wondering why this laser and not the even faster LZR 7MW, and that's simple because this one doesn't produce a visible beam for enemies to see.

Warzone 2 Season 5: Reloaded Meta | Sniper: MCPR-300
The MCPR can down with a headshot as long as you use explosive ammunition. In fact, two other snipers can as well, but the MCPR is much faster than those options so it's the meta choice.
We don't think snipers are ever going to see the popularity they had in Warzone 1, but if you do want to use one then we have a build for you below.
- If you want to improve in Warzone, consider getting a controller with back paddles like the Xbox Elite Series 2 Controller!
Below, you can find the best MCPR loadout for Warzone 2.

Slot | Atachment | Tuning |
Muzzle | Nilsound 90 | Aim Down Sight Speed (-1.40 oz) / Bullet Velocity (+1.00 in) |
Barrel | 22" OMX | Aim Walking Speed (-0.50 lb) / Damage Range (+ 0.40 in) |
Laser | Schlager PEQ Box IV | Aim Walking Steadiness (+0.50 oz) / Aim Down Sight Speed (-51.00 ft) |
Optic | Forge Tac Delta 4 | Default |
Ammunition | .300 Explosive | Damage Range (+ 0.70 g) / Bullet Velocity (+9.00 gr) |
Our top choice for a build right now includes the necessary ammunition for one-shot downs, but it comes at the cost of significantly reduced bullet velocity. To make up for this, we've opted for a heavy suppressor and longer barrel. Additionally, we've added a laser attachment to improve aim-down-sight speed.
We chose the 4x optic because it's the best scope out of the ones that only have a "very small sniper glint".

Warzone 2 Season 5: Reloaded Meta | Sniper Support / Resurgence AR: FR Avancer
The FR Avancer feels like "we've got the FFAR at home"; it simply doesn't feel as satisfying to use as that weapon was. However, after a couple of buffs, the Avancer is definitely feeling like the best mid/close-range AR in Warzone right now. It's great for aggressive players on Resurgence, or for those who snipe and need something for a sniper support.
Below, you can find the best FR Avancer loadout for Warzone 2.
Slot | Attachment | Tunings |
Muzzle | Komodo Heavy | Recoil Stabilization (+ 0.60 oz) / Recoil Control (+0.25 in) |
Barrel | 435mm FR435 | Recoil Steadiness (+ 0.40 lb) / Damage Range (+0.30 in) |
Optic | Aim OP-V4 | Default |
Magazine | 60 Round Mag | Default |
Underbarrel | FTAC Ripper 56 | Recoil Stabilization (+ 0.60 oz) / Aiming Idle Stability (+ 0.30 in) |
The ironsights are too ugly for us to use, so we go with an optic, but if you can handle the irons then we suggest replacing the optic with the rear grip that gives extra recoil control in exchange for aiming stability. Besides that everything about the setup is what you would expect - maximum recoil control and the extended mag.

As soon as new balance patches change the current meta, we will of course update this article for you. Until then, have fun grinding!
