A new high resolution texture pack has arrived for both Modern Warfare and Warzone, on PlayStation and Xbox. The pack includes graphical upgrades for both games, and is a hefty download. Is it worth it, and if so, how do you get your hands on it?
Warzone's High Resolution Texture Pack 3 is a wonder to behold. It improves weapon details, as well as operator models in both Warzone and Modern Warfare, and supports the most detailed textures yet to be available for either game. It makes the game beautiful, detailed, and just a wonder to behold...
Well, it's a wonder to behold if you have the right system. We recommend that users only download the new texture pack if they are playing on Xbox Series X, PS5, or the PS4 Pro. Also, keep in mind that this download is fantastic, but not compulsory. If you don't want it, or don't have the download capacity, then it is perfectly okay to not download the package.
The Warzone High Resolution Texture Pack 3 was launched on March 2, and you should be prompted to download the pack when you boot up the game. The downloads are 8.4GB and 7.9GB on PlayStation and Xbox respectively. If you didn't get the option, here's how to download it on each console:
Installing Warzone High Resolution Texture Pack 3 Manually on Xbox:
- Go to My Games and Apps
- Select See All
- Go to Game Library
- Select More Options
- Select Manage Game Options, then the first option.
- You will see all the installed and uninstalled texture packs
- Select High Resolution Texture Pack 3
- Download it
- Install it
Installing Warzone High Resolution Texture Pack 3 Manually on PlayStation:
- Go to the ingame options menu
- Select Game Installs
- Find the download for High Resolution Texture Pack 3
- Install it
As you can tell, it is much easier on PlayStation than on Xbox. That being said, keep in mind that whilst it's a fantastic pack, it’s not compulsory. Don't feel like you need to download it to play the game, you can also just keep playing the game as is.
