The new Warzone pistol AMP63 is finally here, after an exciting few weeks since its announcement. Lots of players will be rushing on to see how they can unlock the weapon, what attachment setup they'll need, and whether it's any good. Luckily, we've got all the details for you right here.

Who doesn't love wacky, fully automatic new sidearms? Maybe even something to take on the Diamatti. Well, clearly Raven feels the same way, as they've just released a new machine pistol: the AMP63. It's going to bring some serious firepower to the secondary slot, but it's not the easiest to unlock so don't expect to find lots of these in ground-loot too quickly.

How Do You Unlock The New Warzone Pistol AMP63?

If you have BOCW then you can unlock the weapon by making 5 eliminations with a pistol for 20 completed games, or, by making 400 critical kills in Zombies (headshots). Unfortunately, if you only have Warzone then you have to get the gun by making five pistol kills in twenty games - this is a plunder grind. If you do have BOCW then we strongly insist you try and make the 400 Zombies kills, that method takes less than an hour.

Of course, this being Call of Duty, you can also just buy a bundle in the store that contains the new Warzone pistol: the AMP63.Without unlocking the base version, you will need to use their setup. The bundle is called 'Gamma Ray' and for 1000CP ($9.99 USD) you can get the AMP63, a charm, an emblem, a sticker, and 2 Battlepass tier skips.

What Attachment Setup Should You Have On The New Warzone Pistol AMP63?

  • Muzzle: Agency Suppressor
  • Barrel: 6.4" Task Force
  • Handle: Serpent Wrap
  • Magazine: STANAG 25 Rnd
  • Body: SWAT 5mw Laser Sight

The 25 round extended magazine is great for a pistol, so we're taking that for maximum firepower. The Agency Suppressor is likewise a natural choice in Warzone to stay off the radar. Now we've chosen to sacrifice sprint out time on this weapon to make this a responsive secondary rather than something you carry as you move around. The wrap and laser sight will help this, and the barrel will give us a little extra range.

Also, note that we haven't used an optic - thankfully, the new Warzone pistol AMP63 has fantastic iron sights, similar to the Archangel barrel on the Grau.

Is The New Warzone Pistol AMP63 Any Good?

The weapon handles well and has great attachments for a pistol, but the fire rate holds back the TTK. It's only putting out 637 RPM, not bad for mid-range and longer but within shorter distances, that's too low. If you land seven shots to the chest with the new Warzone pistol AMP63, you can down someone in .458 seconds. It's not bad, it's just not up there with some other close-range monsters right now. It might be a good option for newer players to take as an ease-of-use choice for the secondary slot though. Just check out the recoil pattern, and you'll see how nice it is to use:

As you can see the recoil pattern is fairly predictable, it's really quite forgiving – you have very little horizontal to deal with and only an ordinary amount of vertical for weapons in its class. This should give the gun good accuracy and control, but whether the TTK is just too low to see it get any play is the real concern for the new Warzone pistol AMP63.
