Warzone Season 5 has introduced some new content, but the real question on everyone's mind is what is the Warzone Season 5 meta? Let's take a look at what has changed in the Warzone Season 5 meta, what weapons are the best, and what attachments you should use with them.

Okay, okay, okay, we hear you: "Season 5 is only a week old, how can you know the meta already?" Well, there were some pretty major weapon balance changes in the Season 5 update, but not too many other changes. Yeah, Warzone is more stale than week-old bread at this point, and that new operator? What the hell is that? Sorry, I will contain my rage for a little bit. Here is the Warzone Season 5 meta...

Warzone Season 5 is a pretty... average season. Other than the new Warzone Season 5 meta, there isn't really that much different. Here is what has changed, though:

Warzone Season 5 Meta: Assault Rifle Meta

The FARA 83 still takes home the title of the Warzone Meta in Season 5. Yep, that was pretty predictable, wasn't it? Well, look: a generalist AR, especially with Ghost, is not only the most popular loadout type, but absolutely remains dominant in Warzone Season 5. Despite the numerous nerfs, including a pretty major recoil increase in Season 4, the FARA 83 is still one of the easiest and most accurate long-range Assault Rifles in the game – especially when you use our ideal setup guide...

Best FARA 83 Setup

  • Muzzle: GRU Suppressor
  • Barrel: 18.7" Spetznaz RPK Barrel
  • Optic: Axial Arms 3x
  • Underbarrel: Spetznaz Speedgrip
  • Ammunition: 45 Rnd

Warzone Season 5 Meta: Submachine Gun Meta

The TEC-9 is now clearly the Submachine Gun Meta in Warzone Season 5. There really isn't any comparison. This brand-new SMG is unbelievably fantastic. It is a semi-auto by default, and thus not the best as a Sniper Support. However, if you want to run-and-gun, if you want to be loud and proud, if you want to blow your friends' brains out with insane mobility, then the TEC-9 is for you. We understand that this choice will be a bit divisive, and that's okay, but the TEC-9 really is an amazing addition to Warzone!

Best TEC-9 Setup

  • Muzzle: Full Auto Repeater
  • Barrel: 4.9" Task Force
  • Laser: Tiger Team Spotlight
  • Ammunition: Stanag 48 Rnd
  • Stock: Raider Stock

Warzone Season 5 Meta: Long-Range & Sniper Meta

The Swiss K31 is again the Warzone Season 5 sniper meta. Yet again, nothing has really changed here. The Swiss K31 continues to dominate, even taking over for the Kar as the best sniper in the game... at least in our opinion. Now that the Optic has been upgraded, and is basically the same as the Kar's, there is simply no comparison. With the right build, the Swiss K31 not only has fantastic accuracy, but an incredibly fast rate-of-fire for a sniper rifle. Check out our comparison with other Sniper Rifles to help you understand what makes the Swiss K31 so great.

Best Swiss K31 Setup

  • Muzzle: GRU Suppressor
  • Barrel: 24.9" Combat Recon
  • Laser: SWAT 5mw Laser Sight
  • Underbarrel: Bruiser Grip
  • Rear Grip: Airborne Elastic Wrap

Warzone Season 5 Meta: Perks & Equipment

  • Perk 1: E.O.D.
  • Perk 2: Overkill
  • Perk 3: Amped
  • Lethal: Claymores
  • Tactical: Heartbeat Sensor

Look, this is pretty much exactly the same as the Warzone Season 4 meta. Why? Well, because Warzone Season 5 basically changed nothing in the game and, despite the numerous weapon changes, the meta really has not shifted all that much this season. That's okay, it really is, it would just be nice if they made a few more changes. This was the Warzone Season 5 meta, and here is the end of this article. Honestly, guys, honestly...
