The Call of Duty: Vanguard Beta has been officially extended passed its original end-date. Why has CoD Vanguard's beta been extended, and when does the Call of Duty: Vanguard Beta end? Let's take a look.

We've been having a lot of fun over the last couple of days. A ton of fun. A metaphysical truckload of fun. Why? Eastward... *cough* wait, no, sorry, the Call of Duty: Vanguard beta has been running-and-gunning, and we've been all over that. For all of us sweaty twitch-shooter-gamers, Vanguard offers quite a lot. Truly.

The news that Call of Duty: Vanguard's Beta is being extended thus comes as a great relief to those of us who wish to continue shooting the [poo] out of our besties. Let's be real, we don't want to go back to the dullness of Warzone, or the downright horridness of Black Ops Cold War. Vanguard feels fresh. It's a bit clumsy, it's not quite there yet, but it feels fresher than a microwaved orange.

Before we share the news about Call of Duty: Vanguard's end date, we should catch you up on everything Vanguard. Here are a few articles to help you out...

When is the Call of Duty: Vanguard Beta End Date?

Activision have confirmed that the Call of Duty: Vanguard Beta end date has been extended to Wednesday, September 22. The Call of Duty: Vanguard servers will shut down at 6PM BST / 10AM PT / 7PM CEST. Along with their regular playlist updates, the Vanguard team over at Sledgehammer Games are going to continue to make adjustments, show-off features, and gather data until Wednesday. This is great news for players, and it is a sign that Sledgehammer Games want to gather as much information and playtesting as they can before taking the beta offline. Why? Well, so that they can improve the game, of course!

Why Was the Call of Duty: Vanguard Beta Extended?

The Call of Duty: Vanguard Beta has likely been extended to gather more data from players so that Sledgehammer can further improve the game. The beta has determined a number of bug fixes and game adjustments that Sledgehammer has been addressing, and will continue to address, in the future. Thus, an extension of the Call of Duty: Vanguard beta allows players more time to discover various things that need to be changed, and for Sledgehammer to continue to test their server capacity and weaknesses.

In essence, the crux of the matter is the Call of Duty: Vanguard's beta will continue to provide opportunities for Sledgehammer Games to make the game better and better. We want to get the best game possible when it launches on November 5, and we're also having a great time in the beta, so this Call of Duty: Vanguard beta end date extension is a win-win for everyone involved.
