After the Nuke Event, Verdansk was totally destroyed. The Destruction of Verdansk may have rid the map of Zombies, but for some reason, it has also sent us back in time. With Verdansk '84, the new Warzone Map, in full swing, we take a look whether we will ever return to the original Verdansk. The answer, we're afraid, might not be to your liking.

Before we begin, however, we have covered the Nuke Event, as well as all the new Season 3 content, including Verdansk '84, in great detail over the last few days. Here are a couple of articles to catch you up!

Over the course of Season 2, in particular Season 2: Reloaded, Zombies spread from place to place across Verdansk, triggering Containment Protocols, and causing panic and destruction everywhere they went. Now, Warzone's Verdansk has been nuked, Verdansk '84 is here, and the question remains: will Verdansk ever be the same?

Will Warzone's Original Verdansk Map Ever Return?

No, Activision have confirmed that the original Warzone Verdansk map will never return. In fact, the Raven Software Creative Director went as far as saying"It's gone and never coming back." Well! Holy cow! That's pretty big news, we will never roam original Verdansk again?

Verdansk will never return to its original state, nor will it enter any Playlists at least for the foreseeable future. Now, that sounds pretty crazy, right? Well, in a way, yes, in a way, no. If you think about it, we are a little over six months away from CoD 2021, and when that integrates, things will change again.

CoD 2021 could be called Call of Duty WW2: Vanguard, and if the WW2 setting is true, then perhaps Verdansk will go back in time again. That would certainly make sense in regard to integration! Fun? Absolutely! Well, let's chill for a few months, enjoy Verdansk '84, and find out further down the road...
