Mihail “Dosia” Stolyarov and Rustem “mou” Telepov have left Chinese organization OneThree with immediate effect out of fear for their health following the recent coronavirus outbreak.
Coronavirus in the way of mou and Dosia’s debut
The two veterans signed for OneThree in December 2019, just before news of a possible virus epidemic in China broke out. They had previously played together for three years at Gambit Esports, famously winning the PGL Major Krakow in 2017, but were released from their contracts in early December following a six-month stint on Gambit’s bench.
OneThree were fast to scoop the pair and got them under contract just days after they entered free agency. The original plan was for mou and Dosia to replace Yue “AE” Yu and QiFang “Karsa” Su on the roster, thus creating an international lineup. This never materialized, however, and the Kazakh and the Russian never played an official match for OneThree.
Mou took to Twitter to announce the pair’s departure from the organization, citing the coronavirus situation as their primary concern. The former Major champions are once again free agents and are prepared to listen to new and exciting offers.
This is not the first instance of the coronavirus epidemic affecting the CS:GO scale. WESG canceled the Asia-Pacific regional finals out of fear for the players’ health. The tournament was supposed to take place in Macau on February 16-18.
