Dota 2's Diretide made a big return in 2020 and with the special Halloween event, Valve added plenty of new skins and seasonal effects. Don't let the Halloween part fool you – Diretide will be around until December 22.
The seasonal event introduced the Hallowed Chest of the Diretide and it includes 60 brand-new skins themed around the spirit of Halloween. In order to get the chest, you'll have to earn points by playing normal games or Diretide event games and after you do, you'll need to buy a key to open it. Valve stepped things up this time and you'll have the additional option to buy skins/treasures or sell them on the community market right away.
That's right, no more waiting, just get what you want right now or do the sensible thing and wait until the end of the event when prices will be lower. If you want a particular skin, it might be a better idea to just get it from the market instead of playing with random chance.
