Dota 2 Pros Who Missed DPC 2021 Season 1

We probably won't see them at the Internationals!

Sumail dota 2 — Sumail - 2020 was a rough year for Sumail "SumaiL" Hassan, he switched regions and left NA in order to join OG. Sadly, his time with the team wasn't the best, and he soon became a free agent. Later on, he competed with the Just_Error stack, which disbanded after one event. He's still a free agent. Ana dota 2 — Ana - On a brighter note, OG's star, carry player Anathan "ana" Pham, is missing the Dota Pro Circuit 2021 purely by choice. Ana decided to take a break after winning The Internationals for a second time, and we've seen him play on and off in some events. He's still on hiatus, though. (Credit: OG)

Pasha dota 2 — 9Pasha - Pavel "9pasha" Khvastunov has played for some of the best teams in the CIS region. After his time on Virtus.pro, he joined Natus Vincere, but became inactive in September 2020. Whether he'll return to active play remains to be seen. (Credit: Virtus.pro)

Dendi navi dota 2 — Dendi - Danil "Dendi" Ishutin was the face of Dota 2, and for many players he still is. He's the only player on this list who's actually playing in the first season of the DPC 2021, but his team is currently scraping the bottom of the Lower Division. Naturally, his chances of making it to TI, or the Upper Division, are slim to say the least. (Credit: Natus Vincere)

Ramzes dota 2 — Ramzes - Another CIS player that was left as a free agent, after playing on the Just_Error stack, is Roman "RAMZES666" Kushnarev. Ramzes did something similar to Sumail, by changing his region and joining the side of Evil Geniuses in North America. Just recently, he was released from the roster, and he's not currently competing in the DPC. (Credit: Virtus.pro)

Mushi dota 2 starladder — Mushi - Chai "Mushi" Yee Fung is one of the most experienced Dota 2 players not only in the SEA region, but also globally. He's currently playing for Team SMG, but they failed to make the cut into the regional league. (Credit: StarLadder)

Envy dota 2 esl — EternalEnvy - Jacky "EternalEnvy" Mao has played for numerous teams, and even founded some of his own. He last played for Cloud9 in 2020, when the organization decided to return to Dota 2 - only to leave it a month later. Ever since then, Envy hasn't been on a team, appearing to be taking a break from Dota 2. (Credit: ESL)

Sccc dota 2 starladder — Sccc - Song "Sccc" Chun was the starting player of Newbee, before leaving the team and joining Team Aster. In September 2020, during the big shuffle caused by the formation of Team Elephant, Sccc joined EHOME. He left the latter in January, and is now a free agent. (Credit: StarLadder)

Newbee dota 2 — The Entire team of Newbee - Newbee was one of the most recognized Chinese esports organizations - after all, they won The Internationals in 2014. In 2020, there were allegations of match-fixing during one of their series. This resulted in a ban from all major Chinese organizers, and Valve followed up with a ban of their own in 2021. The Dota Pro Circuit 2021 (DPC) is underway and its first season is reaching the half-way point! With Valve's new competitive system for this year, the only way to make it to The International is by playing the regional leagues, following with the Major tournaments. Sadly, some well-known pro players are already skipping the first season, and they'll only have a single shot to make up for it in the second season. Here are some community favorites that we won't be seeing in Season 1 of the DPC 2021!
