The Dota Pro Circuit 2021 is at the end of its first season. Out of the six regions, five have already completed the regional leagues and only China remains. Which teams will make it to the first Dota 2 major of 2021?

China is the last remaining region in the DPC 2021. Due to the celebrations surrounding the Lunar New Year, China skipped two weeks of competitive Dota 2, and they're still catching up. The sixth and final week of the first season will soon determine who goes to the Singapore Major and who doesn't.

The results in China so far

Here's a quick overview of the current standings in China.

1.

Invictus Gaming

6-0

12-3

2.

Team Aster

5-1

10-3

3.

Vici Gaming

5-1

10-2

4.

Elephant

3-3

7-7

5.

PSG.LGD

3-3

9-6

6.

EHOME

1-5

3-10

7.

Team MagMa

1-5

2-10

8.

LBZS

0-6

0-12

Invictus Gaming are absolutely killing it. The team is one of the few in the region that haven't made any roster changes in the past year and the results speak for themselves. Aster and VG are currently tied for second place but that'll have to change once the week is done. Elephant and PSG.LGD were among the favorites to take the lead in the region, but that never happened.

LBZS have a high chance to drop to the Lower Division but nothing is certain. Will it be MagMa or EHOME? Will we see a triple tiebreaker for the last two spots? Who knows!

These four series can go either way and we'll probably see some tiebreakers down the line.

Which teams will go to the major?

While there's uncertainty about the final placement and the potential tiebreakers it's pretty clear which teams will make it to the Singapore Major. China has a total of four slots for the upcoming major which means that half the teams from the Upper Division will earn a spot. The leaders of the group will be seeded directly into the playoffs, second place will go to the groups, and third and fourth will be in the wildcard stage. Here's how it could go down:

  1. IG/ Team Aster/ Vici Gaming - Singapore Major Playoffs
  2. IG/ Team Aster/ Vici Gaming - Singapore Major Group Stage
  3. IG/ Team Aster/ Vici Gaming - Singapore Major Wildcard Stage
  4. Elephant/ PSG.LGD - Singapore Major Wildcard Stage

Looking at the current placement, the only team that's under question is the fourth one. Will it be Elephant or PSG.LGD? We're about to find out later this week! Which team are you rooting for? Tell us on Facebook or Discord!
