The DreamHack Open Fall was officially announced. The tournament will take place in mid-October and some of the biggest European teams are already waiting.
After the ESL One: Rio Major was officially canceled, all CS:GO fans are craving for tournaments. After the DreamHack Winter, the DreamHack Open Fall was announced, including the first 11 teams that qualified via direct RMR rankings. The tournament will be the main event of the Regional Major Ranking tournament circle. The prize pool for the big event stands at a total of $115,000.

The list of teams is based on the official ranking within the RMR. The 11 teams with the most points receive direct invites. Among them, we find some of the biggest names in Europe. All remaining teams have to compete for the last five remaining places in a closed qualifier. The closed qualifier is set to kick off on September 18.

The official tournament, which will of course take place online, starts on October 15. The format will include four groups with four teams each, which will compete in the double-elimination Bo3 format. The two best teams of each group will qualify for the upper bracket of the playoffs. The third team gets to the lower and the fourth gets eliminated. The playoffs will also be played in a double-elimination format and all series will be Bo3 including the grand finals.
