Christian Bale is in Thor: Love and Thunder. You knew that already. What you didn't know is what Christian Bale looks like as Gorr the God Butcher. We do. Also, we'll show you.

Did anybody ever notice how so many actors are playing DC and Marvel? Ryan Reynolds, Idris Elba, Tom Hardy, Ben Affleck, Christian Bale... you'd think there's enough actors out there looking for a big gig, right? Oh, well... we're here for Christian Bale set pics from Thor: Love and Thunder as Gorr the God Butcher... let's do this:

First Look at Christian Bale in Thor: Love and Thunder

There it is. Mr. Bale in all his god-butchering glory. Looks more like the Silver Surfer experiencing some new fashion trends if you ask me, but hey... you never know what it might end up looking like on the silver screen (or HBO Max, or Disney or wherever this one's streaming).

Christian Bale in Thor: Who Is Gorr the God Butcher

So, why does a guy called Gorr go around butchering Gods? Well, the character first appeared in the Thor comics in 2013 and is a man that lost his family to starvation and natural disasters. After realizing that changing his political affiliation and recycling didn't change much, he decided to ask the Gods for help. The Gods ignored him, so... he decided it was time to butcher them. Naturally. Also, you gotta love a name that wears his profession on his sleeve like that.

"So it's Gorr the God Butcher then, is it?"

"Yup."

"Butchering Gods then, is it?"

"Pretty much, yeah."

Anyway, it goes without saying that Thor will probably be one of the Gods that Gorr will be looking to butcher. It'll be Christian vs Christian in the new movie. And that's the first names of the actors, not the religion. Calm down, everybody.

Oh, and here's another set pic. Enjoy:
