ATZUR is a Vienna-based duo consisting of Patricia (lead vocals, piano and synthesizer) and Paul (drums and backing vocals). Navigating the mysterious power to deeply move, Atzur goes about the things that never leave us with a cohesive sound that is a whole. Powerful, raw and emotional. And even the sometimes mellow piano still blows up thanks to the tenacious drums with a dramatic melody line for a big performance. With a minimalist setup and creating an extraordinary universe, Atzur is a huge, sturdy band, built for arenas.

Would you ever like to write music for video games? What would it be like?

Definitely! It would be very rhythmic, with lots of percussion pushing forward, and Violins and Piano creating a huge ambient sound.

How important is music for video games / video games for music?

It's a huge exchange, they need each other on a kind of psychological level - Video games could function without music, but to create emotions and feelings, you will need music accompanying the game. Music itself is contextual: You can just listen to a song, and it already creates a certain kind of feeling in you. But if you hear a song in a gaming context, it does something different - it can take the song to a whole new level that you as a musician could have never thought of!
