So... Dwayne Johnson, The Rock, kind of just announced that he won’t be part of either Fast and Furious 10, nor 11. Here’s what he had to say.
Were you a fan of The Rock in Fast and Furious movies? Then today is a sad day for you – we recommend this piece of happiness, though. The Rock recently had an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, in which he said the following.
I wish them well on Fast 9. And I wish them the best of luck on Fast 10 and Fast 11 and the rest of the Fast & Furious movies they do that will be without me.
Now… I don’t know about you, but to me, this sounds like The Rock is done with Fast and Furious altogether. Naturally, there’s still the option of another Hobbs & Shaw movie. Nothing was said in regard to that. That movie did well-ish, though Fast and Furious movies will always be superior.

In case you didn’t hear the news: Fast and Furious 10 & 11 will be the last Fast and Furious movies, as recently confirmed by Vin Diesel himself. It’s sad to see the franchise go, but after all this time, there had to be a moment where they ran out of ideas. Like… at this point, the entire family plot is just one giant TikTok meme. People have come up with the craziest ideas of what's next for Fast and Furious, and it seemed like everyone came to the conclusion: it's time to stop.
Anyway, we’re sad to not see The Rock in either of these two final movies again, as he was quite the big part of the franchise. But given the fact that Diesel and Johnson had some sort of “feud” going on between them – though it seems like it’s all good now, they called it "tough love" themselves – we will never know the true reason behind him not appearing in another Fast movie. Personal, or professional reasons? Only The Rock knows.
We just hope it’s all love between Diesel and Johnson now, and we’ll look forward to whatever else The Rock will grace us with. You know.. like Black Adam.
