GTA V voice actor Ned Luke has confirmed that he has beat his battle with Covid-19, after a recent hospitalization that worried many fans. The voice actor played Michael in the gaming monolith and announced his discharge in a humorous video he took when exiting hospital.

Earlier this week, fans and developers were concerned to learn that Ned Luke, voice actor of the fan-favorite Michael from GTA V announced that he had been hospitalized with Covid-19-related pneumonia. Well, we have good news for you: he's out, he's healthy, and he's as awesome as ever! Just check out his Twitter announcement!

Yeah, that's f**king right, he's reenacting his respawn from GTA V. Jeez this guy is cool, we love it! Along with his video, he included a brief message telling fans “Thanks so much for all the support and love. Y’all really helped pull me through. We got this.” What a legend!

In a follow up tweet, Luke thanked front-line workers in the battle against the coronavirus Covid-19, noting that these “heroes” saved his life. We loved him in GTA V, and it has become pretty clear that this guy is a class-act in real life too. We wish him well, and all the best in the coming weeks as he recovers from his Covid-19 infection.

Covid-19 has now claimed about 400,000 lives in the United States, and with millions of infections, the country is still suffering through its second wave of the pandemic. It was only a matter of time before some of our beloved gaming characters and personalities got sick. We are very happy that, for Ned Luke, everything turned out okay.

Michael was one of the main, and one of the best characters in GTA V. His sassiness, hilarious relationship with Trevor and Franklin, and all the great times we shared with him, will always stick in our memories as a highlight of gaming history. We are sending out best wishes to Ned Luke, and to all readers: stay safe.
