Money heist stockholm — 10. Stockholm

If you hadn't watched the show and just knew that everybody had city names, then Stockholm wouldn't seem out of the ordinary. I absolutely love what they did with her character, the growth was insane, and I'm so glad she found her happy ending. | © Netflix

Money heist marseille — 9. Marseille

He was an integral part of the plan and while some might deem his role insignificant compared to that of others, I think he was one of the most important characters. His stoic nature kinda added to his charm and his love for animals certainly made me love more than once. | © Netflix

Money heist berlin — 8. Berlin

Now, here's the thing. In theory, his character was one of the best and at first, I loved him, and he was definitely one of my favorites. However, the entire storyline revolving Ariadna was horrible and I more often than not felt sick to my stomach. That ruined his character for me and even his post-death storyline (or is it pre-death?) couldn't make up for it. Still, before that, he was a legend. | © Netflix

Money heist manila — 7. Manila

Her storyline was not one I expected to be thrown into Money Heist, but it was an important topic and I loved the way they handled it. Even with a character like Denver, where you would expect some sort of resistance, it was acceptance right from the start. | © Netflix

Money heist alicia — 6. Alicia Sierra

I was determined to hate her till the very end, I really was... but I just couldn't. She pulled a mini Raquel and I loved it as much as with Raquel. She did horrible things that should not be forgotten, but I'm glad she got a redemption arc. | © Netflix

Tokyo money heist — 5. Tokyo

Tokyo is hard for me to place because I more often than not thought "jeez, she's annoying me". Only at the very end when it was already too late did I think "man, she's not so bad", but by that point it was useless to think that way I guess. The only thing I can now do is place her here. | © Netflix

Money heist denver — 4. Denver

Doesn't matter if you thought he was funny or a hero, Denver is on everyone's top 10, right? His annoying laugh was the first thing that made me fall in love with this character and that fondness only grew with each season. His love story with Stockholm was insanely good, by the way. | © Netflix

Money heist lisboa — 3. Lisboa

Never in a million years would I have suspected her storyline to go the way it did at the beginning of the first season. One of the biggest plot twists in the history of plot twists and I absolutely loved the person she became in the end. Also, Professor x Lisboa forever. Tumblr me activated. | © Netflix

Money heist nairobi — 2. Nairobi

When Nairobi's death episode started with those flashbacks of her and the Professor, I knew she wouldn't make it out alive. She was the most loyal of the gang in my opinion and even though her goals changed throughout the first heist, she still came back for the second. She deserved better. | © Netflix

Money heist professor — 1. Professor

No other character could be in first place. This guy, this genius, this legend... he did it all, and I still don't quite understand how. That's the beauty of his character. Absolutely loved the growth in the very last episode, and I'd love for a Sergio x Raquel spin-off where the Professor gets his thief baby, only to see how he'd handle him or her. | © Netflix

You know what's great about my job? I can binge-watch a series like this and then a week later I can come into work and think: "hey, this is what I do for a living, I can just write an article on the show that I fell in love with".

That's exactly what this is. Five seasons and a bunch of characters later, the question of "who are the best characters in Money Heist?" is one that comes up time and time again.
