The internet is on fire as the new Spiderman: No Way Home trailer was just dropped by Marvel Studios. A list of secret villains has been spotted in the trailer, and Marvel fans have been arguing over who they could exactly be!
The Spider-Man No Way Home trailer just dropped and fans are already dissecting every frame of it. Of course, a few secret villains were literally spotted hiding in the smoke and shadows. Who they could be is up for debate, though, and seeing as the trailer has nearly hit 10 million views on YouTube, we think it is worth trying to find out who these so-called secret villains are.

Who are the Villains in Spider-Man No Way Home?
- Doc Ock (confirmed)
- Green Goblin (confirmed)
- Electro (Confirmed)
- Sandman (unconfirmed)
- The Lizard (unconfirmed)
- A 6th Rumored Villian (unknown)
First up, we have the obvious ones like Doctor Otto Octavious who appears at the end of the trailer, and fun fact, the actor is the same one who played Doc Ock in Spider-Man 2 (2004). Next up we have another pretty obvious villain reveal appearing in the trailer, at least obvious to any Spider-Fan worth their salt. That is: the Green Goblin played by William Dafoe. Keep in mind that we do not see the Green Goblin in the trailer, but what we do see is his trademark Goblin grenade roll into the scene.
Now we come to the more heavy speculation section of the article, and let’s first talk about Electro. He is not clearly seen in the trailer, but what we do see is some sparks! However, we know thatJamie Fox is listed on the casting of Spider No Way Home. So, Jamie Fox playing Electro fits the theme of 'past actors from old Spider-man movies' reprising their previous roles.
Sandman may also make an appearance, as we do see some exploding sand in a few frames of the trailer, but you should take this with a grain of sand as there is not much more to sink your feet into. The last bit of speculation is the shadowy figure seen at 2:26 in the trailer. Many fans and easter-egg hunters believe this to be The Lizard from the Sinister Six.
Who are the Sinister Six?
The Sinister Six are the original enemies of Spider-Man in the comics, but since this is the Marvel Universe, we can definitely expect this to be a different mix of Supervillians. Maybe we end up seeing Rhino or Scorpion, but at this point, the sixth villain has yet to be revealed, and even then it is unclear if this is revealed at all in this movie.
That's far too much speculation for a 3-min. movie trailer, so now just look forward to watching Spider-Man No Way Home on December 17.
