If we're talking legendary tales, there's few that can match the heroic magic of the legend of King Arthur. There have been a couple of TV adaptations, but The Winter King, brings something new to the table that keeps fans longing for more. Episode 10 will release on November 5 bringing this season to a close. The show could continue, though, as there are more stories to tell, which we will explain further below.
The Winter King is a British historical fiction drama that strips the story of Arthur Pendragon off its magical elements, allowing its characters and story to shine by not leaning too much on its fantasy aspects.
The show is based on the first book of a three-part series by Bernard Cornwell, called The Warlord Chronicles, and rewinds time to the Dark Age of Britain, showing how heroic an "utterly human" Arthur Pendragon can be.

The Winter King Episode 10 Release Date
With a total of 10 episodes, The Winter King is coming to a close with the grand finale waiting for us ahead! Episode 10 will release October 29, 2023 at 9 pm (ET) / 12 am (PT) on MGM+ in the US.

The Winter King: How The Books Continue the Story
The second book of the Warlord Chronicles, Enemy of God , deals with the aftermath of Arthur's struggles to unite the British kingdoms and is now turning his attention towards the Saxons, who possess an ancient relic which he desperately requires.
The relic in question is the key to return Britain to its former glory, and therefore Merlin organizes a dangerous mission to venture into the territory of Britain's most vicious enemies. At the center of this mission is the courageous and skilled warrior, Derfel Cadarn, a devoted follower of Arthur.
Adding a lot of political intrigue and spiritual warfare, the tale unravels from there, as Derfel's blade carves a tale of heroism while Arthur's enemies close around him, ready to destroy his world for their own aims.
