Another week, another recap. What happened in Gaming & Esports last week? We wouldn't be asking without giving you the answer:
Alright guys the first week of 2021 is in the books, and we’ve got the rundown for ya. As per usual, we’re gonna weave one topic into the next as smooth as eggs, so you don’t rust away while reading.
Oh, did I say rust? While we’re on the topic: How about that Rust server? Is it fair to say that streamers can make or break games these days? Uh, I’ll answer my own question here: Yes it is. It absolutely is. Rust is a hardcore survival game that was released 7 years ago andit’s now topping the Steam charts thanks to xQc, shroud, Valkyrae, Pokimane & co. Yup. First Among Us, now Rust. Get ready for a new gaming trend of 5-10 people cooperative games, built for streamers. Bye, bye Battle Royale.
While we’re on the subject of Battle Royales…: The DMR 14 finally got nerfed? Thank F***! That thing was annoying as all Seven Hells and I say good fkn riddance. Now I can go back to abusing the invisible glitch without getting one-shotted.
Speaking of one-shotting: Valorant is releasing a new agent that looks sick. Yoru is his name and killing agents is his game. Yes, I’ll see myself out for that. Apologies. Please read the article though.
Yoru is not the only new agent from Riot though: Viego, the Ruined King is making his way to League of Legends. If you like LoL, you already knew that and if you didn’t already know, you at least know what to do:Read the article.
While you’re already reading articles, how about this one as well: Dota 2 team Newbee got a lifetime ban from Valve for match fixing. No surprises here. You can’t spell esports without sports and the definition of sports says ‘no match fixing allowed’... or something along those lines. I don’t even know… anyway, if esports is not your thing, gaming is probably it, soooo:
