EA Sports have finally given us some solid information on FIFA 21. The release date, the cover star, the different editions, the pricing, the official trailer. We got it all at once, so it's time to end the speculation and state some facts!
And the FIFA 21 Cover Star Is...
Kylian Mbappé! The young Frenchman was a prime candidate for the honor and was our top pick for the most probable FIFA 21 cover star. Mbappé will be all over the game as unlike some previous entries, he will be on the cover of the different versions of FIFA 21.
FIFA 21 Release Date and Different Editions
FIFA 21 is hitting the shelves on October 9, 2020. There will be three different verions of the game - the Standard edition, the Champions edition and the Ultimate edition.
FIFA 21 Standard Edition
The vanilla version of the game will cost a standard $60. If you pre-order, you get some small FUT bonuses:
- Up to 3 Rare Gold Packs, 1 per week for 3 weeks
- Cover Star rental object for 5 FUT games
- FUT Ambassador player selection - choose 1 of 3 player items for 3 FUT games
- Special Edition FUT kits and stadium objects
FIFA 21 Champions Edition
Then comes the Champions Edition, which hits the $80 mark. Pre-ordering that one gets you:
- 3 days of early access
- Up to 12 Rare Gold Packs, 1 per week for 12 weeks
- Cover Star Loan Item, for 5 FUT matches
- Career Mode Homegrown Talent — A local youth prospect with world-class potential.
- FUT Ambassador Player Pick — Choose 1 of 3 player items for 3 FUT matches.

FIFA 21 Ultimate Edition
Finally, there's the Ultimate Edition of FIFA 21. It is worth a hundred bucks and you get a few more bonus items if you pre-order it before August 14:
