5. Yann Sommer (TOTW, 87 OVR): The Swiss goalkeeper from Borussia Mönchengladbach ends up in fifth place despite holding the second-highest OVR in the Bundesliga. The decisive factor is his height. At 1.83m, he is just too short to deal with those high-corner bends. (Credit: EA Sports)
4. Lukáš Hrádecký (FUT Headliners, 86 OVR): The Bayer Leverkusen goalkeeper has 10cm on Sommer, which more than makes up for the one OVR point difference. The Finnish international also has the Glove trait and could get an upgrade in the future. A deserved fourth place. (Credit: EA Sports)
3. Manuel Neuer (TOTY, 96 OVR): On paper, the best goalkeeper in the entire game. However, his performance on the virtual pitch does not lead to the same conclusions. TOTY Neuer is good and has been buffed with the last patches, but he still makes strange slip-ups due to his unique animation. Way too inconsistent, unfortunately. 2. Péter Gulácsi (TOTW, 86 OVR): Péter Gulásci is the opposite of Manuel Neuer. He doesn't have the stats, but just feels so... stable in-game. You'll rarely encounter a dumb mistake with the 1.91m-tall Hungarian and should be comfortable with him between the sticks at all times. (Credit: EA Sports)
1. Koen Casteels (TOTW, 85 OVR): The lowest OVR of the five holds first place? It do be like that sometimes. As we explained in the very beginning, GKs don't work under the same laws as other positions in FIFA 21 and that allows the 1.97m Wolfsburg tower to rise above Bundesliga competition.
